📢 Tubacex News: First Half-Year Results and Strategic Milestones We're thrilled to announce that Tubacex has closed the first half of 2024 with consolidated sales of €398 million, marking significant investments in CAPEX and working capital, setting the stage for our NT2 Strategic Plan targets for 2025 and 2026. Key Highlights: -ADNOC Project: Initiated our mega contract with ADNOC, starting production in Spain. -New Abu Dhabi Plant: Preparing to launch a new finishing and threading plant for CRA OCTG by end of 2024. -Mubadala Agreement: Signed a historic agreement with Mubadala, expecting a €180 million cash inflow in Q4 2024. -Order Book: Strong at €1.6 billion, focused on high-value-added and Low Carbon products. -Financial Performance: Achieved an EBITDA of €50.1 million and a margin of 12.6%, with impacts from the ADNOC project and Abu Dhabi plant launch. Debt and Liquidity: NFD at €395.3 million, expecting a reduction to €215 million after the Mubadala cash inflow. -Strategic Goals: Aiming for sales between €1.2 billion and €1.4 billion and an EBITDA over €200 million by 2027. Outlook: Despite global challenges, Tubacex is well-positioned for a stronger second half of 2024 and a highly expansive 2025. Our order book is stable at €1.6 billion with a focus on high-value and Low Carbon solutions. Great news at Tubacex! We are pleased to announce that Yasmina Portilla Nieto, a research engineer in our innovation department, has been awarded the Extraordinary Doctorate Prize for the 2022/2023 academic year by Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea 👌 Yasmina presented an international doctoral thesis titled “Design and development of mixed metal oxides for high temperature thermochemical energy storage in active thermal barrier coating applications.” This thesis was supervised by Estibaliz Aranzabe PhD from Tekniker and by Stefania Doppiu PhD from CIC energiGUNE, within the framework of the PhD Program in Physics. 🏅 The Extraordinary Doctorate Prize is an honorary mention included in the academic record of the recipients, reflecting excellence in research and commitment to scientific advancement. In the recent Annual General Meeting, TUBACEX presented its 2023 annual report, highlighting a historic year marked by the launch of the NT2 strategic update. This milestone signifies the beginning of a transformative period in our company's history, aimed at becoming a provider of advanced industrial products and services for #multienergy and #mobility industries. The year 2023 was significant for Tubacex, achieving a revenue of 852.4 million euros, a 19.3% increase compared to the previous year. Additionally, our EBITDA grew by 35.6%, reaching 125.2 million euros, with an EBITDA margin of 14.7%, the highest in the company's history. TUBACEX is proud to have played a significant role in the establishment of several schools in Thailand over the past few years, under the auspices of the Fundación Colabora Birmania. The Tubacex Foundation has been at the forefront of driving impactful projects in education, culture, sports, social welfare, and employment. Our mission is clear: to enrich the lives of the communities where we operate, bringing value and fostering growth. One of our remarkable achievements is the recently inaugurated KM 42 School, which now serves 225 children and 12 dedicated teachers. Currently, there is a proposal to construct a building for secondary education. Other impactful projects we support include Heavenly Home Orphanage, with 59 children studying in Thai schools and 19 children studying in Migrant Learning Centers. Our ambition for 2030 is to fully realize our commitment to people and equal opportunities to achieve a sustainable future for all. The French nuclear industry stands as a global benchmark, controlling the entire nuclear energy production chain, from uranium extraction to spent fuel reprocessing. Nuclear power remains a crucial energy source in combating global warming, and with this conviction, companies within the sector unite under GIFEN to build the French nuclear industry of today and tomorrow. GIFEN collaborates with EDF to ensure the long-term sustainability of the supply chain, a strategic issue for EDF. One significant challenge is the loss of nuclear knowledge within the sector. EDF is responsible for maintaining a workload in its supply chain that allows for investments and the hiring of trained and young personnel. It is estimated that in the next 10 years, approximately 100,000 new jobs will be needed in the nuclear sector. GIFEN rises to the challenge and works together with EDF on action plans to ensure that the supply chain develops the necessary capabilities in its personnel. This is a long-term challenge that can only be successfully met in partnership with EDF, establishing collaborative ties for all upcoming projects (6+8 units in France, 2+2 units in England, in addition to the projects bidding in Eastern Europe). This year’s GIFEN´s event, called "Journées Perspectives de la Filière" held on June 18th and 19th, offered optimal conditions for networking, presenting industry advancements, sharing visions from major operators, and creating business opportunities. TUBACEX was proud to participate alongside with GNMS, contributing to the vibrant discussions and collaborations.
