Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Buyer to join our dynamic procurement team at our Madrid office. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and executing purchasing strategies, ensuring seamless procurement management aligned with project milestones, and negotiating with a diverse range of vendors globally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Formulate purchasing strategies for the company and individual projects.
• Ensure procurement activities align with project milestones.
• Anticipate and mitigate procurement risks to meet project deadlines.
• Collaborate with a broad network of companies and clients worldwide.
• Negotiate terms with vendors from various categories and countries.
• Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure the best pricing and delivery terms.
• Analyze potential vendors based on material requirements and project specifications.
• Participate in developing negotiation strategies to optimize outcomes and foresee potential issues.
• Assess vendor performance to ensure compliance with project standards and timelines.
• Handle supplementary agreements, back charges, acceleration plans, and liquidated damages efficiently.
• Utilize experience in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), reimbursable, and fast-track projects.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
• Proficient in procurement software and tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and multicultural environment.
• Relevant procurement and supply chain certifications are desirable (e.g., CIPS, CPSM).
