Procurement Buyer

This job is open to both internal and external candidates to the Iveco Group.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented team player who will oversee the entire Bodybuilders purchasing process. As Commodities buyer will be the local responsable in Iveco Madrid of apply the purchasing strategy and manage the assigned suppliers in the perimeter assigned.

Responsibilities

• For the assigned commodities and coordinated with the Spanish Sales department, implement the supply base management strategies that lead to lowest total cost in terms of quality, lead time and unit cost.
• According with the internal procedures, choose and manage the selected suppliers negotiating Long Term and Supply Contracts where applicable, maintaining performance aligned to expectations through negotiation of prices and terms achieving best overall purchase decisions.
• Keeps abreast of market conditions, competitor benchmarking, new technical solutions, and techniques of manufacture for assigned commodities by maintaining close contacts with suppliers.
• Support the tender participation working with Sales Dpt and Commercial Logistic Dpt to solve suppliers’ issues.
• Reinforce and develop partnership with Body Builders currently working for Iveco.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering - Economics
• English fluent. Italian desired.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Analytics skills and result oriented.
• Desired: Relevant product/commodities knowledge (metallic and mechanical assembled components, plastics, hydraulic and electrical components.)
