Financial crime risks are one of the largest systemic risks to the global economy, tearing apart businesses and communities. Cybercriminals, using new technologies like artificial intelligence, are able to circumvent existing controls and commit financial crime, such as account takeovers or transaction fraud, at a far greater speed and scale than ever before.

Innovative strategies are needed for companies to protect themselves and their customers and partners. In a world where companies rely on new and fast-evolving technologies to stay competitive, appropriate risk-management practices must also become a part of everyday operations, rather than a reactive course of action.

Join Economist Impact for this invitation-only roundtable discussion where operations leaders, financial-crime experts and risk-management professionals will explore topics such as:

  • How do companies prioritise data quality, process automation and cybersecurity threats against regulatory requirements?
  • How have innovative payment methods made monitoring activity and fraud detection more complex?
  • How do you localise risk management strategies across geographies, languages and products?
  • What are the challenges for the integration and use of new technologies for companies which operate digitally?
  • How do companies evaluate these technologies for use in combating financial crime?
