Georgia Magno is chief legal officer of oilfield-services company Baker Hughes. She is responsible for the company’s legal and regulatory affairs, compliance function, risk management and the strategic direction of its corporate governance. She joined the company in 2010 as general counsel for global supply chain and most recently served as general counsel of the industrial and energy technology business segment, managing international and complex affairs. Prior to Baker Hughes, she was an international litigator with the law firms of Cleary Gottlieb and Weil, Gotshal & Manges. Magno is vice-chair of the Nuovo Pignone Holding’s board of directors.

Penny Dudley is chief legal officer at Bupa, a role she has held since 2016. She is responsible for legal advice and risk management, privacy, financial crime, whistleblowing and corporate insurance at the international health and care company. She is a director of a number of Bupa’s regulated subsidiaries and joint-venture companies. Ms Dudley joined Bupa in 2010 and previously held roles in Bupa’s international private medical insurance division, with responsibilities including corporate affairs and risk and compliance. Her international experience in regulated financial services has included legal roles at Macquarie and Invesco. She trained at Freehills in Sydney.

Neil has been with Aviva since 2010 and has held a variety of roles internationally within the Legal function and is currently the Group General Counsel. Prior to Aviva, Neil spent 10 years at the law firm Slaughter and May.

John Ferguson is head of The Economist Group’s globalisation, trade and finance practice. He is responsible for leading and developing the practice across different geographies and sectors, including both public and private organisations. Mr Ferguson was previously director of macroeconomics, responsible for guiding the Economist Intelligence Unit’s global economic analysis across 200 countries. Prior to this he was director of country analysis and global forecasting. As a trained economist, Mr Ferguson has a breadth of research experience using econometrics, macroeconomic analysis and political-economy analysis. His research has covered many of the major factors impacting the global economy: climate change, geopolitics, FDI flows, artificial intelligence and global employment patterns.
