When Macaulay Culkin surfaces in the news, it’s never for something boring. Two weeks ago, he instagrammed himself wearing a shirt with a picture of Ryan Gosling wearing a shirt with his picture on it. Child star FTW.

Alas, this week he’s off to a rough start, according to an article in The Nottingham Post: Culkin’s novelty band, The Pizza Underground, was recently pelted with beer bottles and booed off stage after only three songs at the Dot to Dot Festival in Nottingham, England.

It’s not difficult to imagine why the crowd mutinied, considering the Underground covers famous songs and changes the lyrics to pizza-themed numbers. Lou Reed’s “Perfect Day” becomes “Pizza Day,” which is the kind of thing your college roommate would suggest three special brownies deep — and even then you’d both agree it was a terrible idea.

In Culkin’s defense, he passed around slices of pizza to everyone. I could suffer through a bad set with free pizza any day.
