For the premiere of the 44th season of The Price Is Right, we’re going back to 1972.

As part of the specially themed Decades Week, the show will premiere on Monday with a throwback to the ’70s, when it first aired. Drew Carey will open the show reciting Bob Barker’s original speech – and using the original microphone – from the debut episode. Check out the exclusive clip above, and see below for Barker’s Price Is Right debut.

Each day will be a tribute to a previous decade in which The Price Is Right has aired: the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s, ’00s, and today. Audience and cast members will don decade-appropriate outfits, and the games and prizes will be throwbacks to that time period. The Price Is Right is the longest-running game show in TV history, airing for more than five decades on CBS.
