There’s been another dip into the nostalgia well. Ellen Page is in early talks to star in the remake of Flatliners, EW learned.

Niels Arden Oplev, who directed the original Girl with the Dragon Tattoo film, is slated to direct off Ben Ripley’s (Source Code) script for Sony.

The original 1990 sci-film film, helmed by Joel Schumacher, starred Julia Roberts, Kiefer Sutherland, Oliver Platt, William Baldwin, and Kevin Bacon as med students who experiment with near-death experiences in an attempt to learn about the afterlife. The film grossed more than $60 million domestically.
