Bachelor Joey Graziadei mixes up Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Gypsy Rose Blanchard

We hope he’s the first (and only) to make this mistake.

A woman with three names, famous for her involvement in legal proceedings, initials R, B, and G — surely there’s only one of those, right?

Unfortunately for The Bachelor’s Joey Graziadei, that’s wrong. In a new video from Betches, the reality star tested his knowledge of the internet’s favorite memes and celebrities in a game of “How Online Are You?” — and went viral in the process for a wrong answer.

In the video, Graziadei attempts to identify a photo of Gypsy-Rose Blanchard, who recently made headlines upon the end of her eight-year stint in prison for the second-degree murder of her mother. “I do know who this person is! Is it Ruth?” he asks. “It’s Jinsburg or Ginsburg or something like that. Am I wrong?”

It seems that Graziadei knew Blanchard’s face but not her name, as he was able to identify why the person in question was notable — he didn’t guess that she was a recently-deceased Supreme Court justice. “I know that she had something happen where she went to jail because of her mom,” he says. “Ruth Ginsburg? I dunno what I’m saying.”

Blanchard was the subject of Hulu’s miniseries The Act. The show saw Joey King play Blanchard as she successfully conspired with her then-boyfriend, Nick Godejohn, to kill her mother Dee Dee Blanchard, who had lied for years about Gypsy-Rose having leukemia and muscular dystrophy, forcing her to use a wheelchair and feeding tube.

Graziadei currently stars on season 28 of The Bachelor on ABC. The 28-year-old teaching tennis pro was selected for the series after placing second on season 20 of The Bachelorette.
