Teen Wolf took over New York Comic Con with a first look at the trailer for season 5B, which featured a number of highlights for fans of the show: The return of Deucalion, Scott and Theo’s packs teaming up to take on a new big bad, Stilinski fighting for his life in the hospital, Stiles throwing Scott on the ground, and the surprise return of Chris Argent… to name a few.

But during the panel — which featured executive producer Jeff Davis, stars Cody Christian, Tyler Posey, Dylan Sprayberry, and surprise guest J.R. Bourne — Davis teased that Chris isn’t “the only Argent coming back.” (Does this mean there’s hope for Allison?!)

Furthermore, the panel announced Teen Wolf will move to Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET beginning on Jan. 5. Posey promised that the new time slot won’t impact the show’s violence or sex appeal, but the biggest change will actually be tonal. “We went pretty dark in 5A,” Davis said. “We’re getting our sense of humor back.”

As for the Scott-Stiles fight in the trailer, Posey said that the confrontation is the “peak of Stiles and Scott’s conflict.”

Speaking of conflict, Scott is yet to forgive Liam for trying to kill him. But there is one person he’s forgiven: Kira. “Scott and Kira are still always very much in love and still together,” Posey said, adding that, of course, “there’s still conflicts between them.”

Other panel highlights:

– Davis previewed that “Deucalion is back and his eyes aren’t the same.”

– Expect a Deucalion-Theo scene.

– Davis teased a “really big two-part episode” in which Scott’s pack attempts to rescue Lydia from Eichen House. As he put it, it’s “Die Hard in Eichen House, basically. Getting Lydia out is ultimately up to Stiles.”

– There’s no word on when Derek will return, but Davis did say that, “There’s someone else I’ve been trying to get back.” Guesses?

– Posey said, “There’s always room for Peter [in Beacon Hills],” but Davis added that there are some “technical difficulties” to figuring out a return for Peter at the moment.

– Davis promised Scott as a “badass alpha,” teasing that they want him to “kick more ass this season.”

– Posey on what Scott’s final words to Allison would’ve been: “I’m sorry I wasn’t there. I’m sorry I couldn’t get there faster. Thank you and I love you.”

– The show is introduing The Beast, a successful chimera.

Teen Wolf returns Tuesday, Jan. 5 at 9 p.m. MTV.
