Eminem raps about Alec Baldwin and Halyna Hutchins tragedy on his new album, The Death of Slim Shady

He makes reference to Diddy, Candace Owens, and more.

Eminem's latest album, The Death of Slim Shady, happened to land on the very same day that actor Alec Baldwin's criminal trial in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was dismissed. And it mentions them both.

The It's Complicated actor had been accused of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Hutchins, a cinematographer, on Oct. 21, 2021, on the set of their movie Rust. Baldwin had pleaded not guilty, insisting that he had not pulled the trigger on the gun he was using as a prop, which was not supposed to have contained live ammunition.

A New Mexico judge tossed out the case, because of misconduct by police and prosecutors, who were deemed to have withheld evidence from the defense.

Eminem raps about the on-set tragedy on his track "Fuel." Lyrics include the words, "F--- around and get popped like Halyna Hutchins / Like I'm Alec Baldwin, what I mean is buckin' you down, coup de grâce then."

On the same song, Eminem raps about Sean "Diddy" Combs, who has been accused of sexual assault in nine lawsuits, which he has denied.

More than one song takes aim at conservative commentator Candace Owens. Eminem raps, "I ain't gon' throw the fact b---- forgot she was Black back at her, laugh at her like them crackers she's backin' after her back is turned." He also called her "this MAGA dirtbag in a skirt."

In response, Owens told EW: "I was honored when Dave Chapelle made fun of me, because Chapelle is in his prime. Grandpa Shady is just depressing to me. Eminem should retire or evolve."

Eminem — real name Marshall Mathers — has released 12 studio albums and won 15 Grammys since 1996.
