Dame Maggie Smith would like her Emmy, Jimmy Kimmel.

While hosting the Emmy Awards on Sunday, the late night fixture pointed out that history had repeated itself, and once again, the acting icon was not in attendance. This time, Smith won Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for Downton Abbey, and Kimmel joked that Smith didn’t deserve it.

Upon hearing Smith’s name called, Kimmel stormed the stage and took the statue from presenters Minnie Driver and Michael Weatherly. “Maggie, if you want this, it will be in the lost and found,” Kimmel quipped to the camera.

The veteran actor ended the message on an even sweeter note, writing, “Love, Old Maggie.”

Although she might not play Violet Crawley anytime soon, Smith clearly hasn’t lost her character’s wit.
