Just one question: It this winning look 100% trip-proof? 03 of 21 BEST: Alicia Vikander Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP Delicate Danish Girl star Alicia Vikander has been sporting Louis Vuitton all season (she’s a model for the brand), so she’s used to wearing straight-off-the-runway looks. That said, this is definitely her biggest red carpet moment to date, since this ivory sequined Louis Vuitton design – its feminine ruffles a complete contrast to its suspender-style back – is guaranteed to wow over fashion fiends. She looks luscious – yup, we said it – in an icy-white, figure-skimming column gown by Elizabeth Kennedy. However, she looks like sheer perfection in this super-modern Marchesa gown, its swoon-worthy color and tiered silhouette glamorous and gorgeous – a great choice, hands down. 15 of 21 BEST: Lady Gaga Jason Merritt/Getty Images Meet Lady Gaga, version 52.0 (or is it 43247382021??? I’ve totally lost count.) Gone are meat dresses or mammoth, rainbow-colored wigs: Instead, Gaga embodies total glam in a vampy, off-the-shoulder Versace gown. And that hair! You have to love a girl that wears a stylized bob that appears double-dipped in two shades of blonde, a subtle hint to her wild pop star past. 16 of 21 BEST: Viola Davis John Shearer/Getty Images A glamorous-looking Viola Davis had fans seeing stars with this shimmery, ombré Marchesa gown. On anyone else, it’d be gaudy; on her, it’s proof that the How To Get Away with Murder lead is basically the whole universe. (And we love her for it!) 17 of 21 WORST: Eva Longoria Jason Merritt/Getty Images In theory, this keyhole neckline and mermaid silhouette should work on petite Telenovela star Eva Longoria, but the sequins and floral embroidery? Better luck next time. 18 of 21 WORST: Bryce Dallas Howard Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP One of the first stars on the red carpet outside of the Beverly Hilton, Howard didn't do herself justice in a lace-embellished sleeved gown. The dated pattern and dark palette kept the gorgeous actress from shining through. 19 of 21 WORST: Kate Hudson Jason Merritt/Getty Images This look just isn’t one of her best, a barely there column dress with a cropped midsection that appears to have been sacrificed in order to wrap said fabric around her neck. Thankfully, the SAG Awards are in just a few weeks and we’re hoping she can make up for this outfit. 20 of 21 WORST: Patricia Arquette Kevork Djansezian/NBC/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images Patricia Arquette won an Oscar last year, and this year was swallowed whole by the bow on her dress. 21 of 21 WORST: Channing Tatum John Shearer/Getty Images Far from his Magic Mike XXL sex appeal, Tatum veered into greasy and grimey territory at the Globes. While his tuxedo was a perfect fit for the red carpet, the actor's piecey hairstyle and questionable facial hair took the attention away from his black tie attire.
