Don't move! It's the exclusive trailer for horror-comedy Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell

Sixth 'Tremors' film is released May 1

It may be difficult to stop the subterranean monsters of the Tremors film series — but seemingly nothing can halt the continuation of the horror-comedy franchise itself. Last year, Kevin Bacon, who starred in the original 1990 creature feature, returned to shoot the pilot for a proposed TV series, while May 1 will see the release of the sixth Tremors movie, called Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell.

The film stars franchise veteran Michael Gross as Burt Gummer and Jamie Kennedy as his son Travis Welker, who find themselves up to their ears in Graboids and Ass-Blasters when they head to Canada to investigate a series of deadly giant worm attacks. Arriving at a remote research facility in the arctic tundra, Burt begins to suspect that Graboids are secretly being weaponized, but before he can prove his theory, he is sidelined by Graboid venom. With just 48 hours to live, the only hope is to create an antidote from fresh venom — but to do that, someone will have to figure out how to milk a Graboid!

Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell is directed by Don Michael Paul and costars Tanya van Graan and Jamie-Lee Money. The film will be released May 1 on Blu-ray combo pack, DVD, Digital, and On Demand.
