Another exciting week is about to begin, here's what's going on over the next few days: 💎 As always, the week will be kickstarted with a workshop for our #DeepTech #AI & #Sustainability NEXUS incubator participants. Lasse Huotari of IBM will host a workshop about utilising AI for business. Attendees will learn usecases and practical ways to implement AI within their businesses. 💥 Next up, for our #SocialImpact TREMORians, there'll be an exciting workshop about Technical Expertise on Wednesday! Hosted by Jarno J. Laine of Rakettitiede, participants will come to learn the ins and outs of harnessing technology as a part of social impact enterprise and how their businesses could benefit from technical advancements. 🌱 And last but not least, our #BioEconomy #CircularEconomy Biosphereans will have an opportunity to pitch to Jesse Heikkilä of Failup Ventures! Failup Ventures is a Finnish-American VC fund with a focus on early-stage startups with strong, mission-driven teams. The session will be a great opportunity for the teams to get real-live VC pitching practice, get feedback from the investors' point of view, and connect with an active investor! Good morning from us here at the University of Helsinki! It's another great week coming up for us here, with plenty of workshops and even some pitching. Curious? Here's this week's deets👇🏻 💎 We start this week with the first proper pitching event for this NEXUS batch! Presented by Fondia Oyj and Nordea, tonight's event will see all 15 NEXUS teams (whew!) pitching to a panel of four judges: Mikko-Pekka Hanski of Miltton, Esa Kinnunen of Espoon Yrittäjät, Ramón Crespí of Crazee, and Miikka Miettinen of Finnish Business Angels Network (FiBAN). The teams will be able to present their progress so far, get valuable feedback from the panel, and get good encouragement for the rest of the programme! 💥 Then on Wednesday, our TREMORians will be learning a difficult yet valuable lesson: sometimes, the customer just isn't interested in what you have to offer. Why? Well, it's not about your product, it's about the customer's problems, needs, and wants (which you're not addressing properly). Expert Vesa Lindroos will walk the teams through the sometimes difficult process of onboarding customer feedback in order to adjust your product or service to accurately reflect the needs of the market and calibrate your business model accordingly. 🌱 On Thursday, our Biosphere founders will have their first of two workshops this week, this one about pitching. As our returning expert Piia Maaranen of Innovestor will tell the teams, pitching isn't just a tool to get investors. Instead, it's a way to interact with many stakeholders and get different things from each! And in this, the 2nd pitching workshop of the programme, the teams will learn to actively interact with different audiences through the medium of pitching. Whew, it's a busy one, so no time to rest: let's get to it! 💪🏻

Gooood Monday everyone! Another week of supporting founders is starting here at the University of Helsinki, and we can't wait! Here's what we've got planned this time: 👀 💎 As usual, our NEXUS incubator kicks things off for the week with today featuring the first of several workshops on sales! This week's expert, Merja Kannisto of ABB will be talking to our #DeepTech & #AI founders about the skills needed to find and effectively approach decision makers and relevant stakeholders in order to become a social seller. 💥 Then on Wednesday, serial entrepreneur Alexander Anserud will come and help our #SocialImpact TREMORians to finetune their business models by helping them take a deep dive into their ideas, identify hitherto untapped opportunities and new avenues, and carefully adjust things in order to reach their ideas' fullest potential. 🌱 And as always, we close things out with our #BioEconomy and #CircularEconomy programme Biosphere, where on Thursday the founders will be looking at the Product Validation Process with Adithya Varadarajan of both Finnair and Nordic Rebels. With Adi's help, the participants will learn the importance of rapid prototyping and how to use the feedback they get from potential customers and users to take their solutions to the next level. Good morning and good Monday to all, it's another week starting here at the University of Helsinki! All of our incubators are now back from summer holidays, and everyone is ready to go 💪🏻 Here's what we've got coming this week👇🏻 💎 We start the week in traditional fashion with our #DeepTech, #AI, and #Sustainability incubator, NEXUS! Later today, the participants will ease themselves back in to the rhythm of things with a workshop on the science of public speaking, hosted by John Bruzzo! They'll hear about how non-verbal communication plays a big role in public speaking, and how they can learn to use it to their advantage. 💥 Then, on Wednesday, our #SocialImpact TREMORians will be learning about prototyping & rapid experimentation from expert & mentor Janne Neuvonen! An important subject, since prototypes and testing are one of the key ways to get real feedback on your solution and iterate towards an even better version. But how do you do it effectively and concretely, and how can you guarantee salient feedback? Well, that's what the TREMORIANS will be learning this week! 🌱 And lastly, on Thursday, our #CircularEconomy & #BioEconomy incubator Biosphere's participants will be learning about the art of deal (no, not that one)! With expert David Gambarte, the founders will learn about selling, arguably the most essential skill for any successful startup. How do you establish an effective sales process? What are the different stages of said process? And how do you close a deal? Well, as with all things human, it's more of an art than a science, and our master artist will be illuminating the nuanced mysteries of the craft (and sharing some handy tips and best practices). Goood Monday everyone! After a restful summer break, we're starting to get back to it here at the University of Helsinki. This week, we've only got one workshop coming up, but next week all three of our incubators will be back in full swing. So without further ado, here's what's coming up: 💥 On Wednesday, our #SocialImpact incubator TREMOR's participants will be dipping their toes back into building their ventures with a relaxed pitch practice co-working session, where the teams will be able to continue working on the pitches they worked on over the summer break and give each other feedback on what works, what doesn't, and what they can improve.
