  • The partnership will help banks and other financial institutions leverage cloud services to accelerate their digital transformations.

A partnership between digital banking solutions provider ebankIT and multicloud services provider Centrilogic will bring secure, cloud-based solutions to financial institutions. ebankIT will combine its adaptable architecture and core-agnostic capabilities with Centrilogic’s expertise in private and public cloud services to help banks and other financial institutions innovate quickly and achieve their digital transformation goals.

“Centrilogic has extensive experience helping financial institutions achieve success through their digital transformation journeys by delivering reliable and secure cloud-based systems and infrastructure,” Centrilogic CEO Robert Offley explained. “Together with ebankIT, we look forward to empowering banks and credit unions with the foundation necessary to provide industry-leading digital experiences to their clients.”

Courtesy of the collaboration, ebankIT will leverage Centrilogic’s Managed Security Service. This technology provides comprehensive security monitoring to enhance data protection with capabilities such as security logging, vulnerability scanning, and intrusion detection systems.

“An efficient infrastructure management is essential for seamless operations,” ebankIT CEO Renato Oliveira said. “Centrilogic’s expertise will help ebankIT optimize infrastructure, enhance scalability, and improve overall performance.”

Based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, Centrilogic offers both private and public cloud services to mid-market businesses. The firm offers multicloud management, application innovation, data and analytics, and IT advisory to help businesses turn their technology platforms into “business-driving assets”. Centrilogic began 2024 with the appointment of Doug Tracy as the company’s President. The privately-held firm counts TriSpan LLP and Long Point Capital among its investors.

A Finovate alum since its Best of Show winning debut at FinovateEurope in 2015, ebankIT most recently demoed its technology at FinovateEurope 2023. At the conference, the company showed a number of new features on its Omnichannel Digital Banking Platform, including a new tool to help banks better anticipate customer needs. ebankIT Teams Up with Finotta to Deliver Personalized Financial Guidance

ebankIT Teams Up with Finotta to Deliver Personalized Financial Guidance
  • Embedded finance company Finotta has teamed up with banking software provider ebankIT.
  • The partnership will integrate Finotta’s Personified Personalized Financial Guidance platform with ebankIT’s digital banking solution.
  • Both Finotta and ebankIT are Finovate alums. ebankIT most recently demoed its technology at FinovateEurope in March. Finotta made its Finovate debut at FinovateFall 2022.

Embedded finance company Finotta has forged a new partnership with omnichannel banking software firm ebankIT. The partnership will integrate Finotta’s Personified platform with ebankIT’s digital banking solution in order to deliver better financial wellness tools and Personlized Financial Guidance (PFG) to customers worldwide.

Finotta’s Personified platform provides an automated and personalized mobile banking experience. Personified includes a financial coach, a financial health leveling system, automated financial guidance, predictive product referrals, digitized relationship building, the ability to make internal and external transfers, and more. The suite of solutions helps financial institutions address customer needs and respond to them from within the digital banking platform.

Personal finance is often treated as a local concern. However, Finotta founder and CEO Parker Graham put this week’s integration in an international context. “Financial wellness is a global imperative that transcends borders, affecting individuals and communities everywhere,” Graham said. “In partnering with ebankIT, we’re not just future-proofing financial institutions, we’re elevating the financial well-being of users and underscoring innovation as the bedrock of customer loyalty.”

ebankIT CEO Renato Oliveira said that delivering “humanized, personalized, and accessible digital experiences” is a priority for ebankIT “from day one.” He added, “At ebankIT, we recognize that the future of digital banking hinges on seamless omnichannel capabilities and enriched user experiences.” Oliveira called the partnership with Finotta “an extension of that commitment.”

Founded in 2014, ebankIT is headquartered in Portugal. The company has been a Finovate alum since winning Best of Show in its Finovate debut at FinovateEurope 2015. The company most recently demoed its technology at FinovateEurope earlier this year. At the conference, ebankIT introduced a new range of features on its digital banking platform. Among these features was a tool to help banks and credit unions better anticipate customer needs.

Over the summer, ebankIT announced a strategic partnership with digital transformation and cybersecurity consultancy, Online Business Systems. More recently, the company teamed up with Home Trust. Via the partnership, ebankIT helped the Canada-based mortgage broker launch its new digital banking platform.

Founded in 2018, Finotta is a newcomer to the Finovate stage. The Overland Park, Kansas-based company made its debut last year at FinovateFall 2022. Finotta announced in August that its Personified platform increased user engagement to an average of 13 minutes per month. Graham credited the difference between Finotta’s Personalized Financial Guidance platform and traditional personal finance management solutions.

“To better capitalize on existing digital banking investments and increase share of wallet all while lowering acquisition costs, banks need to shift their focus away from PFMs and instead embrace Personalized Financial Guidance,” Graham said. “By focusing on guiding customers through their financial journey, they increase the amount of time users spend in the app.”

Salt Edge and ebankIT Team Up to Help Financial Institutions Maximize the Opportunity of Open Banking

Salt Edge and ebankIT Team Up to Help Financial Institutions Maximize the Opportunity of Open Banking
  • A pair of Finovate alums — Salt Edge and ebankIT – have teamed up to help financial institutions leverage open banking to provide more services to customers.
  • The partnership will enable ebankIT’s bank and credit union clients to access accounts from more than 5,000 financial institutions.
  • Salt Edge is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. ebankIT is based in Porto, Portugal.

A newly announced partnership between Finovate alums ebankIT and Salt Edge will help financial services companies in Canada, Europe, and elsewhere to maximize the opportunity of open banking. The partnership will enable ebankIT to empower banks and credit unions to access accounts from more than 5,000 banks. At the same time, working with Salt Edge – an ISO 27001 certified company licensed as an AISP under PSD2 – will ensure that open banking compliance requirements across regions will be fulfilled.

“At ebankIT, we understand that Open Banking is the way forward when it comes to humanizing the digital banking experience for millions of end-users worldwide,” ebankIT Head of Sales HQ and Partnerships Pedro Leite said. “That’s why we believe that this partnership with Salt Edge will bring great benefits to our ecosystem of financial institutions.”

With its Omnichannel Digital Banking Platform, ebankIT helps financial institutions to make digital transformations, regardless of their size. Currently licensed to FIs in 11 countries, ebankIT’s platform enables banks and credit unions to offer customer experiences across all modern digital channels, from online and mobile to wearables and the metaverse. A Best of Show winner at FinovateFall in 2019, the Portugal-based company most recently demonstrated its technology this spring at FinovateEurope.

In addition to its partnership with Salt Edge, ebankIT has teamed up with other Finovate alums in 2022. In October, the company announced that it was working with multiple-time Finovate Best of Show winner MX to integrate MX’s Insights and Personal Financial Management (PFM) tools into its digital banking platform. Earlier this year, ebankIT announced a collaboration with another multiple-time Finovate Best of Show winner, Horizn. This pact is designed to help financial institutions smoothly launch new ebankIT platform deployments for both front-line employees and customers.

Salt Edge, which demoed its technology at a part of FinovateEurope in 2018 and 2019, was founded in 2013 and is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The company offers both an open banking gateway – to help companies access account information, conduct payment initiation, and leverage data enrichment to turn raw data into actionable insights – as well as a PSD2 compliance hub. Salt Edge’s compliance hub provides a full-stack compliance solution for banks and electronic money institutions, strong, mobile customer authentication, and TPP verification.

“As two cutting-edge tech players pursuing to revolutionize the financial world, we strive to create innovative solutions that will improve financial services for both institutions and consumers,” Salt Edge Chief Growth Officer Alina Beleuta said. “By teaming up, we can double our forces to bring innovations to the financial landscape through seamless open banking solutions.”

eBankIT Teams Up with Wise to Enable Banks to Offer Faster, Cheaper Money Transfers

eBankIT Teams Up with Wise to Enable Banks to Offer Faster, Cheaper Money Transfers

A pair of long-time Finovate alums have teamed up to give banks and other financial institutions access to faster, more affordable international money transfers.

Bank software innovator ebankIT and worldwide money transfer platform Wise (formerly Transferwise) announced today that Wise’s international money transfer service will be the first solution of its kind to be made available on the ebankIT platform marketplace. Relied upon by financial institutions to build up their digital banking service options, the marketplace will enable these firms to add the money transfer service to their offerings without having to integrate it separately on their own.

“We believe in a better future for banking with true omnichannel capabilities – and international transfers are an essential part of this,” ebankIT CEO Renato Oliveira said. “By bringing together Wise, ebankIT, and our clients, we are changing international transfers for everyday people across the world. We’re delighted to offer Wise platform to our clients, so they can instantly tap into Wise’s world-leading infrastructure.”

Wise Platform has 12 distribution partners and 18 banks in 11 countries using the technology, along with seven enterprises. The company notes that 40% of its transfers are delivered in less than 20 seconds, and Wise charges no hidden fees by way of exchange rate mark-ups or other calculations. On average, Wise’s international money transfers are as much as eight times less expensive than those offered by traditional money service firms and other providers.

“For too long, international transfers have been slow, inconvenient, and blighted by traditional providers charging high, hidden fees,” Wise Head of Product Steve Naudé said. “It’s time for change. We aim to set a new global standard for international transfers across the industry. We’re thrilled to be working with ebankIT, a company that shares our vision. Together, along with ebankIT’s network of banks and financial institutions, we can help drag international transfers into the twenty-first century.”

Rebranding as Wise in February, the company formerly known as Transferwise has been a Finovate alum since its appearance on stage at FinovateEurope in 2013. In the years since, the London-based company has reached more than eight million customers worldwide and transfers more than $7.5 billion in customer funds every month. Wise’s technology currently comes pre-integrated in a number of core banking platforms including those from Temenos, Mambu, and Thought Machine.

The company went public on the London Stock Exchange this summer, earning a market valuation of $11 billion. Last month, Wise announced an integration with The Orchard, a subsidiary of Sony Music that specializes in music distribution and artist services. The partnership offers the company a more streamlined way for music labels to make royalty payments to musicians in multiple countries and currencies.

A Finovate Best of Show winner in 2019, ebankIT was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in Porto, Portugal. The company’s core-agnostic Omnichannel Digital Banking platform was recognized last year in both Gartner’s Market Guide for Multichannel Digital Banking Solutions and its Market Guide for Digital Banking Platforms. In partnership with Celero, a Canada-based solutions integrator for credit unions and other financial institutions, ebankIT’s technology this year has powered digital transformations at institutions such as Swan Valley Credit Union, 1st Choice Savings and Credit Union, and Entegra Credit Union.

ebankIT and Enterprise Engineering Forge North American Partnership

ebankIT and Enterprise Engineering Forge North American Partnership

Finovate Best of Show winner ebankIT is working with fellow Finovate alum Enterprise Engineering (EEI) to launch a new omnichannel banking solution geared toward financial institutions in North America in general, and the U.S. in specific.

The collaboration will combine Enterprise Engineering’s experience as an integrator and advisor on digital transformation and open banking with ebankIT’s omnichannel digital banking platform.

“This partnership is an important step on the consolidation of our growth strategy for the North American market, where we already have a significant presence,” ebankIT CEO Renato Oliveira said. “With the change of both operations and customer service models, it is essential for banking organizations to have a flexible and sophisticated solution, capable of bringing a true omnichannel experience, which is exactly the main strength of ebankIT.”

The companies previewed this initiative back in February. The joint venture is geared toward helping banks and credit unions in the U.S. offer full-service banking capabilities, including leading-edge technology solutions, to their customers. EEI and ebankIT are marking this latest development in their relationship with a series of educational, half-day seminars on Open Banking beginning this month in New York City.

“This partnership represents a terrific opportunity for EEI and ebankIT,” EEI founder George Anderson said when the collaboration was announced. “Our product sets are extremely complimentary and are best-in-class in our target markets.” Anderson noted that the partnership will result in “impossibly fast time to market and ROI for our joint customers.”

Founded in 2014 and maintaining offices in Porto, Portugal and London, U.K., ebankIT demonstrated its Digital Concierge 2.0 solution at FinovateEurope earlier this year. The technology unites financial and third party services via open banking integrations and channel analytics to provide relevant and engaging customer journeys.

Enterprise Engineering participated in our developers conference, FinDEVr Silicon Valley, presenting its Trusted Network Platform, an advanced data aggregation and management solution. A WealthManagement.com 2018 Industry Award winner, New York-based Enterprise Engineering was founded in 1995.
