Double points on the first of every month

The Bilt Mastercard offers unique benefits for renters but also offers attractive perks that anyone can enjoy. It has a $0 annual fee, and it is the only credit card where you can pay rent without additional fees. Points can be redeemed for rent, a house down payment, to book travel, transfers to airline and hotel partners, and more. Plus, the card includes travel and purchase protections, cell phone insurance and other benefits.

On the first of each month, Bilt Rewards members get double points on all non-rent purchases made with the Bilt Rewards Mastercard. Cardholders can earn up to 10,000 bonus points on purchases from 12 a.m. Eastern to 11:59 p.m. Eastern.

With this promotion, even bonus category purchases earn double points without requiring pre-activation. The bonus categories include:

• Dining: 6X points (regularly 3X points)
• Travel: 4X points (regularly 2X points)
• Other purchases: 2X points (regularly 1X) [excludes rent]

Rent payments earn 1X points since they’re not eligible for double points.

However, cardholders must make at least five purchases each month in order to earn points.

Avianca LifeMiles transfer bonus

All Bilt members will receive a 50% transfer bonus on September 1, 2024 when they transfer their Bilt points to Avianca LifeMiles. Bilt points can be converted in increments of 1,000. The transfer bonus is available only from September 1, 2024 at 12:00am ET to September 2, 2024 at 2:59am ET.

Virgin Red transfer bonus

Bilt members will receive up to a 100% transfer bonus on September 1st when they transfer their Bilt points to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club or Virgin Red.

Bilt points can be converted in increments of 1,000 (2,000 minimum for Blue members). A member’s transfer bonus will be based upon your Bilt Membership Status as of the time you elect to transfer your Bilt points on September 1, 2024, as follows:

Our take

The Bilt Mastercard®’s single biggest advantage is the ability to generate points from rent payments. As of June 2023 the median rent in a major U.S. city was $2,029, and if the average renter paid using their Bilt Mastercard instead of a bank transfer, they’d generate over $300 in travel rewards each year. Bilt Members will be able to bring a friend on us to a day at the pool or spa at over 1,600 properties via our new partners at ResortPass. Members can select the property they are interested in via the Rent Day experience in the Bilt app or website. From there, members will be sent to the specific property they want to book and a coupon code automatically applied at checkout.

Other perks on Rent Day

Two additional promotions are available on Rent Day that offer the chance to get your rent paid by Bilt.

• SoulCycle x Bilt Rent Day rides. On September 1, members receive a complimentary bike in special-themed classes at more than 50 SoulCycle locations nationwide. Book your session through the Bilt Rewards app beginning Tuesday, July 30th at 12 noon Eastern. One lucky rider will get their rent paid (up to $2,500).
• Rent Free Game Show. The top 10 scoring players will be September’s rent winners, while the next top scoring 600 folks will earn extra Bilt points.
