Lancement officiel d’ACTENA ✨ Le 1er juillet a eu lieu l’évènement de lancement d’ACTENA (l’Association des Centres de Transfert en Nouvelle-Aquitaine) à Cap Sciences, l’écosystème de l’innovation régional. Cette initiative, tenue par 28 centres de transfert, a vu le jour pour mutualiser les différentes expertises en région afin de favoriser l’innovation et répondre à des enjeux de transition. Pour ce lancement, la feuille de route a été présentée aux différents acteurs que composent cette association d’un nouveau genre, ainsi qu’à Alain Rousset, président de la Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine et Gérard Blanchard, vice-président. 👁🗨 A look back on July's events This month was punctuated by several events for our departments: - Optique Normandie in Rouen, with Ludovic LESCIEUX and Théo Limousin presenting the teaching tools developed and all the training courses available in our training center PYLA - Formation Laser, Optique et Photonique / Electronique Hyperfréquences. Marc Castaing also led a poster session as part of the CRYST^3 project. - ICAP, the International Conference on Atomic Physics in London, where Alexandre LOULIER and Sebastien VIDAL presented laser and component solutions. - Vi-TIC, the meeting dedicated to the wine industry in Bordeaux, with Guillaume Machinet, who discussed the partnership opportunities our center has to offer for this sector. What surprised the students of the summer school ❔ Last week, the first edition of the Photonics TALENT Summer School was held, which brought together some 50 European students for a week packed with expert talks and company visits. Participants were pleasantly surprised by several aspects of the event, including: ✔ "There are so many companies which work in photonics and optics and lasers, and they’re all located here in Bordeaux in one place" ✔ "It kind of opened my eyes a lot more to the different opportunities there are to work in photonics" ✔ "The labs are very nice to see, there is a lot of great equipment, they’re well organized and very high standards" More testimonials in video 🎥 We’re so happy that the first Photonics TALENT Summer School was such a success, highlighting our region and its expertise in photonics. The Photonics TALENT Summer School keeps going! 🎉 alain aspect, the 2022 Nobel Prize winner in Physics opened the second day talking about his research in quantum technologies. This was followed by conferences held by the CEA and Laboratoire Photonique Numérique et nanosciences (LP2N), the theme of the day being high power laser. The afternoon was punctuated by the visit of 2 companies, ALPhANOV and Exail, partners in the Photonics TALENT project.
