ASEA - Association of Students in Exchanges with Asia

The association was created in 2013, under the guidance of Mr. Darwis KHUDORI, Director of the Master’s Degree in Management and International Business, specialized in Trade with Asia, which is a study program within the Department of International Pole of Management, the Faculty of International Affairs, at the University of Le Havre Normandy. The role of the association within the university is to reinforce the cohesion of the students of this Master’s Degree. Coming from different backgrounds and countries of the world, the students’ personal and professional development is the highest priority of the association. In addition, ASEA aims at raising the awareness of the importance of Asia amongst the students of the University, and also at promoting cultural diversity of this vast continent through the organisation of important events throughout the year within the institution and beyond. ASEA organises annually, at the end of academic courses, “The Asia Week”. This event is the peak of a year of preparation and coordination between the Board of ASEA and the students from this Master's Degree. It is the proof of the special attention to Asian countries, cultures and environment, covered in the program. Moreover, during the academic year 2017-2018, ASEA initiates a “Student Forum in Asian Studies” in the framework of the International and Multidisciplinary Conference THE RISE OF ASIA IN GLOBAL HISTORY AND PERSPECTIVE organized at the University of Le Havre Normandy. The Board of ASEA consists of 5 members: - President - Vice-President - Secretary - Vice-Secretary - Treasurer ASEA is an officially registered association at Le Havre's Administrative Office
