I am thrilled to announce that Chipiron has been awarded "MedTech of the year" by the prestigious association France Biotech and its jury, presided by Audrey Derveloy, President of Sanofi France, and Lise ALTER, President of the Agence de l'innovation en santé. This is why you don’t want metal around an MRI machine: imagine there was a patient inside. The rate of magnetic safety accidents with MRI is still relatively high: around 0.35%, according to the most serious and extensive studies. MRI is the best medical imaging modality. But the more I spend time in the industry, the more I am SHOCKED by all the operational constraints it involves during installation, operation & maintenance. It’s a physics lab by itself. High-field MRI is intrinsically unscalable. A scarce modality of imaging dedicated to: - the most urgent cases - rich people To make it truly available, there is only ONE solution. Going for low magnetic fields. And Chipiron will prevail in this realm.

Chipiron builds the next generation of portable, inexpensive & powerful point-of-care MRI machines. We obtained our first images this summer and are quickly moving toward a clinical-grade prototype. We will raise our Series A S1 2024.
