It’s good to stare. Our store at Le Bon Marché presented our designers with particularly complex set of challenges. Faced with limited space in a shared retail environment, we sought to fascinate shoppers with the sound experience just by looking through the glass structure. This radical transparency highlights the visual spectacle of Devialet Phantom, and the silent emotion of people listening. It also plays a vital role acoustically: containing sound so it doesn’t escape into the rest of the ground floor. The result is unusually poetic―fully muted yet ultra-expressive. Devialet and Alpine: Harmony in Design When working with Alpine, we had a specific vision for in-car sound. To express our shared journey of performance and elegance, we meticulously designed custom speaker grills that mirror the A290’s dynamic, electric-era DNA. The specific pattern we created conveys a sensation of agility and luxury, while heightening the A290’s sporty allure. Intricate embossing motifs reference the French craftsmanship heritage. Positioned throughout the car, nine speakers make the passenger experience visually compelling and acoustically impressive.
