Imagine a Sustainable, Autonomous AI System: We've Made It a Reality. 💫 Digital technology is a significant source of CO2 emissions, and #AI is no exception. Training and running AI models consume substantial energy, leading to increased emissions and higher energy bills. That's why we are proud to announce that Dracula Technologies has joined the #GREENAI project, leaded by ASYGN company. Funded by France 2030 and supported by the French State, Région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Grenoble-Alpes Métropole and Minalogic, this initiative aims to develop intelligent, sustainable, energy self-sufficient devices. By utilizing frugal AI and ultra-low-power hardware accelerators, these devices will significantly reduce CO2 emissions and energy costs. They will monitor air quality in buildings, manage road traffic, and detect forest fires. Dracula Technologies is excited to provide the energy solution for this groundbreaking project. Our Organic Photovoltaic (#OPV) Cells will harvest ambient light to power AI #sensors. Combined with frugal AI and ultra-low-power hardware accelerators developed by ASYGN and the Laboratoire Hubert Curien, these sensors will become extremely energy-efficient and will be seamlessly powered by LAYER® technology. This partnership will significantly reduce AI #energy consumption while ensuring a continuous power supply. Dracula Technologies Transforms Building Energy Management with the First Autonomous Indoor IR Thermal Sensor! 💫 We are thrilled to share our participation in the #SEPOC project, a key advancement in alternative energy solutions, alongside our partners Orioma, e-peas, and Minalogic. Our mission is straightforward: to create an autonomous indoor IR thermal sensor that accurately measures occupancy, light levels, and ambient temperature to enhance energy efficiency in buildings. If the project continues on its promising path, Orioma will commercialise a cutting-edge, battery-free infrared camera powered by our indoor organic photovoltaic (OPV) modules. Designed for ceiling installation, the camera will incorporate a cone-shaped OPV module to optimise energy capture from light reflected by walls and floors. Initial results are highly encouraging. We have successfully matched the sensor's #energy needs with the output from our #OPV modules. The 3D OPV architecture provides stable voltage outputs regardless of light angle or intensity, ensuring reliable performance. Additionally, it maintains consistent current outputs under varying light conditions.
