We're thrilled to share the success of CESQ's first ever International Food Day! The European Center for Quantum Sciences, is a true melting pot of nationalities and cultures from across Europe and far beyond. Colleagues, friends, and families came together to celebrate our common love for food! The afternoon was filled with delicious dishes from various cuisines, representing the rich tapestry of backgrounds that make CESQ special. Special recognition to team Italy for the best tiramisu, team Spain for the best tortilla, and team South Korea for the best gimbap! 😏 We're already looking forward to making this an annual tradition!

It's time to bring the European Quantum Technology Summer School to a close.  The Université de Strasbourg, European Center for Quantum Sciences and ISIS - Institut des Sciences et d'Ingégierie Supramoléculaire were delighted to host this first edition and all the Masters students with their keen interest in Quantum Technologies. 📣 Exciting Kick-off at the European Quantum Technology Summer School! 🌟 This morning, the European Quantum Technology Summer School officially launched with great enthusiasm! We are thrilled to welcome 50 eager students from three different countries, all ready to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of quantum. 🎉 The day began at the University of Strasbourg with the registration of our enthusiastic students at 8 AM, followed by opening speeches from Guido Pupillo and Franck Balestro from Quant Edu France, Christian Tobeck from EIN Quantum NRW and Marten Teitsma of Quantum Delta NL. Our journey into quantum tech began with an inspiring lecture from Richard Versluis, who spoke about engineering for quantum. Following him, Elina Fuchs captivated the audience with her insights into quantum sensing. And this is just the beginning! Throughout the week, students will learn from experts like Quintin Ficheux, Ferdinand Schmidt-Kaler, Subhasree Patro and Ramona Wolf. It was our great pleasure to welcome Nicolas NAUDIN President of BASF France for a visit of the European Center for Quantum Sciences and discuss our collaborations with BASF, new projects including the aQCess platform and even finding the time for a visit to professor Shannon Whitlock ' s lab of Exotic Quantum Matter by Tom Bienaimé. We are looking forward to this renewed collaboration with the Fondation Jean-Marie Lehn .

The Réseau Alumni Université de Strasbourg visited us yesterday. For some of them it was a discovery of the world of #quantum. A diverse group of ex-university student and staff got an oveview of the CESQ by Guido Pupillo, an update on the development of the quantum computing aQCess platform by Ana Helman and an introduction to #quantumcomputing by Shannon Whitlock. Finally a lab tour with many interesting questions on how to use #quantumcomputers for research in mathemathics, informatics, healthcare and much more. Thanks to colleague from the Réseau Alumni for organising.

Spring has arrived and the second phase of construction of the CESQ is advancing quickly. Four new lab spaces and offices will be ready soon to host 80 researchers and staff working on cutting edge quantum science and technologies.
