Bon voyage! 🚚 20 Eutelsat OneWeb satellites have set off on a road trip across the USA from the Airbus U.S. Space & Defense (Florida) factory over to Vandenberg, California, ahead of our LEO Launch #20 with SpaceX – expected no earlier than next month. The trip – which is over 2,500 miles – will be undertaken by 2 trucks, followed by our team’s colourful RV for the journey. We're working with Kongsberg Maritime and Telenor Maritime to provide LEO connectivity to an autonomous barge operation 🛳 Reliable, secure connectivity is being provided via the robust Kymeta Corporation u8 Peregrine user terminal. This initiative is not only supporting sustainable shipping but is also paving the way for enhanced remote operations and connectivity. We have signed a multi-year agreement with Cable Color, renewing capacity for video broadcast services over Central America on EUTELSAT 117 West A 🛰 Cable Color is a long-standing customer of Eutelsat, and this agreement underscores its continued confidence in the quality of broadcast services provided by Eutelsat Group. We have signed a multi-year deal with Bayobab to provide services throughout Africa on our Eutelsat OneWeb low Earth orbit (LEO) network 🛰 Our multi-year deal for LEO capacity will address enterprise and cellular backhaul applications, as well as underline the role of innovative satellite solutions to drive digital inclusion in Africa. This collaboration aims to address the connectivity needs for enterprises and cellular backhaul, providing reliable solutions to enhance network performance and customer experience across the continent. Our colleagues at Hughes have now shipped over 5,000 electronically steerable antenna (ESA) terminals to use with our Eutelsat OneWeb LEO service ⚡ The HL1120W terminal is specifically tailored for our LEO constellation, and utilises a phased array antenna with no moving parts; able to support our network speeds of up to 195mbps down and 32mbps up. The ESA allows a seamless transition from one satellite beam to the next every 11 seconds – providing uninterrupted connectivity. Commenting on this milestone, Massimiliano Ladovaz, Chief Operations Officer at Eutelsat Group, said: “We are pleased to work with Hughes as an engineering and distribution partner for the Eutelsat OneWeb service. Our LEO constellation offers customers a high-speed, low-latency global connectivity experience and together with Hughes, we are able to support digital transformations in business and government.”

We have entered exclusive negotiations for the carve-out and partial sale of our ground segment infrastructure assets 📡 This contemplated transaction with EQT, the global private equity investor, consists of the carve-out of our passive ground infrastructure assets, consisting of land, buildings, support infrastructure, antennas and connectivity circuits for the combined portfolio of teleports and satellite network portals (SNPs). This will form a new company which will be incorporated as a standalone legal entity. EQT will own 80% of the capital, while Eutelsat Group will remain committed as a long-term shareholder, customer and partner of the new company, with a 20% holding. On completion, Eutelsat will enter into a long-term framework master service agreement, covering services to be rendered by the new company – assuring the seamless continuity of our activities at the same high level of efficiency, reliability and security. Commenting on this agreement, Eva Berneke, Chief Executive Officer of Eutelsat Group, said: “We are proud to become the first satellite operator to undertake this innovative operation, building on the model adopted in other industries, and enabling us to optimise the value of our extensive ground network. We have been selected by United Group B.V., South-East Europe’s leading provider of telecommunications and media services, to consolidate its broadcasting activities at two of Eutelsat’s flagship video hotspots, to maximize audience reach over its footprint 🤝 Following an RFI to satellite operators to optimise the efficiency of its operations, United Group awarded Eutelsat Group the contract for its entire direct-to-home portfolio, thanks to the technical superiority of our proposed solution. Under the multi-year, multi-transponder deal, United Group is renewing its commitment with incremental capacity to accommodate both existing and new television platforms that will be joining the Eutelsat video neighbourhood.
