🚛 GEODIS is pioneering #sustainablelogistics through its partnership with Colgate-Palmolive to limit tailpipe emissions in Italy! 🌱 #GEODIS teams are thrilled to announce the successful trial of the electric truck, Volvo FH 44-ton tractor, made possible by the cooperation of Volvo Trucks Italia and FCA Rome dealer. This initiative marks a significant step towards sustainable logistics and showcases our commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility. The electric truck successfully deployed shuttling services between Colgate's Anzio plant and GEODIS' Aprilia Distribution Center in Italy, completing daily runs without needing intermediate recharging. This significantly reduced tailpipe emissions. We are very proud of these achievements of our Italian teams in this innovative and strategic partnership: ▪️Zero Tailpipe Emissions: Demonstrating our commitment to reducing environmental impact. ▪️Operational Efficiency: Fully covering daily services without the need for extra intermediate recharging. ▪️ Reduced CO2 Emissions: Achieving a remarkable 55% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to Euro6 fuel standards.
