[Project 🏗️] We're thrilled to share the exciting progress on our latest project aimed at enhancing the bearing capacity of toll roads using Controlled Modulus Columns (CMC)! 🔍 Project Highlights: • Location: Major toll road in Indonesia • Technique: Controlled Modulus Columns (CMC) • Objective: Enhance bearing capacity and improve long-term stability in the region • Impact: Increased load-bearing capacity and reduced settlement 🔧 Why CMC? Unlike traditional deep foundation solutions, CMCs are often installed to shallower depths, are designed using lower concrete strength, and require less overall volume of concrete. 🎯 Key Benefits: CMCs eliminate the need for steel reinforcement. By reducing concrete usage and completely avoiding steel, CMCs significantly lower CO2 emissions. Considering that 1 ton of steel emits about 2000 kg of CO2 and concrete emits around 200 kg of CO2 per cubic meter, the environmental benefits of CMCs are considerable. 🌍🏗️ ✅ In a world where resources are becoming scarce, it is crucial to achieve more with less. CMCs embody this principle by optimizing material usage and minimizing environmental impact, making them a sustainable choice for modern construction. 👉 Learn more about the Menard Asia project: https://lnkd.in/efC9Bbjw #construction #groundimprovement #menard #asia

[Project 🏗️] Remea France's recent industrial project in Beauvais! 🏭 From 2019 to 2023, Remea tackled a significant environmental challenge at a site in Beauvais, where soil and groundwater quality had been compromised due to industrial activities. 🔧 Remea designed and implemented their Permeable Reactive Barrier (PRB) technology, effectively containing and purifying the groundwater flowing through the site. 🌱 In the initial phase, Remea successfully decontaminated the soil on both sides and beneath the water table. But it didn't stop there. Remea faced the additional challenge of dealing with potential explosive remnants from World War II while preserving the integrity of the PRB. Their solution? Employing the slurry substitution technique to safely extract and transport 10,000 tons of heavily polluted soil to their treatment facility in Gaillon (27). There, through biodegradation of organic compounds, Remea cleaned the soil and repurposed it for use as backfill. 🌍 This endeavour not only safeguarded our environment and natural resources but also offered a second life to treated soil. All of this, meticulously tailored and executed to perfection! #remea #soilremediation #france #depollution

Exciting News 🌟 After many years of successful collaboration in different regions across the globe, Menard is delighted to announce the expansion of our partnership with DP World across the Atlantic Ocean to the beautiful shores of the Dominican Republic!   🎯Project challenge:  With a view to expanding the DP World operation in Caucedo, and after conducting the necessary soil investigation, it was found that the soil did not comply with the necessary bearing and long-term settlement specifications required for such a terminal. After a thorough review of soil data and close collaboration with DP World's engineering team, Menard proposed a solution that would effectively address these geotechnical hazards through Dynamic Compaction.   🏗️Expertise:  The expertise of the Menard Export team, which has demonstrated remarkable success in the Dominican Republic over the past year, played a pivotal role in ensuring the execution of this project. Working in two shifts, the team achieved production rates of nearly 3000m² per day.   🏁Team : Led by the Construction Manager DEBEAUPUIS Nicolas, The Menard Export team comprises the best talents from Menard Latinoamérica, Menard France and MENARD ESPAÑA, S.A. We extend our congratulations to them for their efficient and professional work. This is a wonderful success story!   The team is preparing to take a well-deserved break before returning to the Caribbean for their next exciting chapter. Stay tuned for more updates…✨   #teamwork #geotechnicalengineering #Menard

[Iconic projet 🚀] Now that you've met César Davin from Menard Colombia, read more about one of his iconic projects! "In Colombia, we have been working for more than a year on Puerto Antioquia project, a future strategic seaport on the Caribbean coast of the country that will enhance the development of the Antioquia department’s international trade.              With up to 45m of soft clay, such a project turned out to be a big challenge for our clients. Menard Colombia has been able to offer them various ground improvement techniques for different issues on the onshore part of the project: Prefabricated Vertical Drains up to 40m deep under the future onshore storage area, Dynamic Replacement pillars for the foundations of a warehouse, Controlled Modulus Columns to improve the ground of a temporary service quay that will host a 400 tons crawler crane during the construction period of the seaport. Thanks to our specialized equipment and staff, our design and build solutions have been a great success. It has been really satisfying to work closely with the clients and geotechnicians to find the best technical-economic answers to complicated matters that would have been very costly to solve with traditional solutions. Let’s hope that we can help solving many more matters in Puerto Antioquia! We are very proud to participate in Antioquia’s and Colombia’s development, and to keep proving how much our expertise and catalogue of techniques can help." #construction #groundimprovement #menard #colombia

[Meet up ☀️] To welcome Menard Colombia on LinkedIn, please meet César Davin, our BU Manager in Colombia. 🔦 If he were born in another time, he would have loved to live in the 2100s to see the opening of Menard Mars’ Business Unit. 🔋 As a superhero, he imagines himself as a Menard mechanic: when the mechanic-mobile arrives on-site, everybody feels like a kid saved by Batman. 👷🏼If he were a machine, he would be proud to be an Enteco E500, specially designed for Menard’s needs and with a nice-looking counterweight. 🔎If he were a technique, he would be proud to be Dynamic Compaction: disruptive and efficient! 👩🚒What he enjoys the most at work is the place given to creativity, the family atmosphere, and the possibility to jump easily from Design to Operations to Sales. ⚙️What he enjoys the most on a worksite is the purity of the relationships, and to listen to the crew’s thoughts (an experienced rig operator’s comments are often the best Geotech report you can get).  🤝Best anecdote with a client? A Menard France Sales Engineer once asked me to help her with a site visit before a contract signature with an Albanese Client who was building a pizzeria in the northwest of France. Everything there was wrong. The working platform looked like a motocross track. According to the Client, there were “probably” a lot of gas pipes everywhere in the ground. There were also Rigid Inclusions (CMCs) to be installed 10cm away from the neighbour’s house wall; the Client said it would not be a problem if the wall fell as the neighbour recently died. He also offered to transport our 70-ton machine with his 4-ton Iveco truck to reduce the mobilization cost. Unfortunately, this Client did not comply with our anti-corruption & solvency policies, which is one of the reasons why we would refuse a project. #Menard #Colombia #groundimprovement
