Wonderful two days at the #BBGGreenFestival in Seattle! Running alongside #PNWClimateWeek, the event spans five days and includes concerts, culinary experiences, a special TED Conferences Countdown show, and an impressive lineup of speakers. From policymakers like Stacey Abrams, Gina McCarthy, and Governor Governor Jay Inslee, to corporate sustainability leaders such as Melanie Nakagawa and Kara H. Hurst, to famous activists like Xiye Bastida and Joshua Amponsem, the festival has offered an exhaustive and inspiring picture of today’s climate community. I’ve been particularly inspired by the ongoing conversation about how companies and policymakers are interconnected and interdependent forces in accelerating change. Furthermore, the inclusion of the activist and artist community brings the diverse points of view needed to stay connected to the communities that need the most change. It was great spending time with old and new partners like Kelly Jankowski and Nandini Sankara, and many more. It shows once more how we’re all part of one community with one mission. MSL (Global)
