À propos

William Grant & Sons is an independent, family owned premium spirits company. When our founder William Grant established our company in 1887, he had a vision to make the best dram in the valley, and that vision stands true today as we build brands that are loved the world over. These include our eight core brands: Glenfiddich, Grant's, The Balvenie, Tullamore D.E.W., Drambuie, Hendrick's Gin, Sailor Jerry Rum and Monkey Shoulder. We have distilling and bottling operations in Scotland, Ireland, Iceland, India, the US and Mexico and a team of over 2,600 people at 48 global locations. We consistently win the industry’s top accolades, which are testament to the quality of our liquid, our dedication to our craft and the talent of our people. One hundred and thirty four years on, we are leaders in the international spirits industry and have ambitious plans for growth to ensure our business is sustainable for the long term. William Grant was a true pioneer. He worked with a close-knit team of talented and passionate people to create a legacy that endures and their spirit is very much at the heart of our culture today.

Partnerships Manager at Career Ready. I help Career Ready support the social mobility of young people (age 15-18) across Scotland, by connecting students to employers who provide mentoring with a paid 4-week internship.

Well done to Career Ready students Cara-Louise and Duncan who completed a fantastic 4-week internship at William Grant & Sons in Dufftown, Moray, supported by brilliant mentors ian kirkbride and Russell Scott. Our Career Ready Moray Local Area Board member Henry Angus attended Cara-Louise and Duncan's end of internship presentations and shared the hands-on experience they both gained and contributed during their internship: 🗣 Student Duncan’s project involved installing a water pump outside one of the still houses. This meant he could combine his interest in electrical work and introduced him to engineering as well. He had to scope out the whole project, order the parts and conduct the installation. It was clear that he had worked hard and the pump is now proving it’s worth in the overall function of the plant. Cara-Louise was able to pursue her interest in architecture by working on some new designs of how to improve the aesthetic look of still house 2 which was built in 1971. Cara’s work with a local firm will have been of benefit to her as well as WM Grant. Her presentation was excellent with lots of photographs and a clear timeline for the ongoing work. It was a great pleasure to be at WM Grant and witness Cara-Louise and Duncan’s presentations. They were both excellent with two great mentors in Ian and Russell. 🗣 Thank you to everyone at William Grant & Sons - particularly ian kirkbride and Russell Scott, Lorna Laird, Gail Campbell Assoc CIPD, Stuart Watts and Stuart Maxwell for your support. Wildmoor, our newest premium whisky has launched in Taiwan, and to enter the market in style, our team set up a two-day exclusive ‘Wild Escape’ experience for media and whisky experts.   During the visit, guests spent their time in the Wildmoor house, set amidst the lush greenery of Miaoli, a town renowned as the ‘Town of Mountains’. Here, they enjoyed a boutique ‘Wild Cooking Feast’, where dishes were paired with a Wildmoor whisky, and were guided through the inspiration behind each expression.   Master Blender, Brian Kinsman, joined the event to unveil Wildmoor 21 Year Old Heather Valley, an exclusive expression created for the Taiwanese market, specially blended to resonate with Taiwanese food culture.   Taiwan is known as the ‘Island of Mountains’, making it a fitting location for Wildmoor, a whisky that is rooted in nature and praised for its flavour and storytelling.

Congratulations Denzil Franklin from Sixteen33 in Mumbai for winning Monkey Shoulder's ‘Ultimate Bartender Championship' in India.   The annual championship takes place in countries around the world, and last week it was India's turn, held in Jaipur. It not only gathers the most talented bartenders across India, it’s also a chance to celebrate the skills and passion of bartenders.   It was an intense competition lasting 8 city rounds and saw over 1300 registrations. The contenders showcased their skills in challenges centered around key bartending talents like ingredients, mixing, pouring, nosing, and perfecting the ultimate serve.   Having proven his exceptional skills and creativity, Denzil Franklin, will now attend Camp Monkey, an exclusive annual gathering of Monkey Shoulder Brand Ambassadors and fellow championship winners from around the world at Goa in November 2024. #pleasedrinkresponsibly #staymeasured

Today is World Rum Day, and at William Grant & Sons we’re spoilt for choice when it comes to Rum.   We could sit back and relax and with Jerry Cola, using our classic Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum – a simple yet indulgent serve that highlights the spices in the rum.   Or we could step into the sweeter world of Discarded Banana Peel Rum with a Discarded Banana Peel Daiquiri. With a taste of banoffee pie, the humble daiquiri is truly levelled-up in this mix of a classic. Rum also plays a role in the maturation and flavour profiles of some of our whiskies. We use casks that have previously held rum to bring out notes of toffee, fruit and vanilla in certain liquids. The Balvenie 14 Year Old Caribbean Cask is a fine example, having been aged in oak before it’s finished in casks that previously held Caribbean rum.

We are excited to share Glenfiddich’s latest partnership with BlockBar – an innovative sealed auction of a rare Glenfiddich 1985 cask bottling, direct from the distillery. A unique opportunity to buy a piece of Glenfiddich history.   Personally selected by Glenfiddich’s esteemed Malt Master, Brian Kinsman, for BlockBar, the 39 Year-Old is an exclusive expression, laid to cask in January 1985. Having matured for 16 years in American oak, it was later transferred into an Oloroso sherry-seasoned European oak cask. The liquid has a distinctive mahogany hue and an intensely, deep, complex flavour, boasting layers of fruit, hearty oak and brown sugar sweetness, along with a hint of subtle spice, a rich texture and a wonderful mouth coating oiliness, making it a truly unique whisky.   From the exclusive cask bottling, 150 x 700ml bottles will become available in September 2024. Each bottle will be housed in a bespoke, ebony lacquered presentation box inscribed with the cask number, matching the individually numbered limited edition bottle inside. At the time of bottling the existing cask NFT owner will have the option to personalise the label, making this a truly unique opportunity.   The sealed bid auction is a first for both Glenfiddich and BlockBar, so to make it extra special, the cask bottling comes with a VIP distillery experience and overnight stay at one of the William Grant & Sons houses on the estate.   Click here to learn more: https://lnkd.in/e7dJt6ah Please drink responsibly.
