This report assesses the potential for linkages between foreign direct investment (FDI) and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Czechia, and provides policy recommendations to foster productivity and innovation spillovers to the local economy. The report examines the quality of investment that the country attracts, the productive and innovative capacities of Czech SMEs, and a broad range of economic, business and policy conditions that can strengthen knowledge and technology diffusion from foreign multinationals to domestic enterprises. It also assesses Czechia’s institutional environment and policy mix across the areas of international investment, SMEs and entrepreneurship, innovation and regional development, noting areas for policy reform. The report includes a regional focus on the potential for FDI and SME linkages and spillovers in South Moravia and Usti.

The article reveals the modern problem of the rates of economic growth of the Ukrainian economy, as well as other countries, associated with their significant decrease. It is shown that its problem occurrence can also be explained by the lack of attention to the activation of innovative processes in the country during the formation of real economic policy. The assumption is substantiated that this happened due to insufficient prioritization of the separate production factor – innovation, in neoclassical methods of macroeconomic analysis. This study examines financial development, technological progress, and foreign direct investment (FDI) as key drivers of renewable energy investments and offers recommendations to support Ukraine's energy transition and attract sustainable investments in the renewable energy sector. To investigate the drivers of renewable energy investments, 2 OLS models were constructed using Germany and Poland as case studies. The findings confirm that financial development, technological progress, and FDI inflows have a positive effect on renewable energy investments in the long run. However, the study also reveals countryspecific variations. Financial development primarily affects investments in developed countries, while FDI inflows are more significant in developing countries. Technological progress proves beneficial for both developed and developing countries. Additionally, public perception and expert opinions were considered in formulating recommendations because of conducting focus group and interviews analysis. Based on the obtained results we proposed recommendations to enhance Ukraine's investment attractiveness in renewable energy. Key measures include in the short run stimulating innovation in renewable energy, improving investment policies, and in the long run enhancing access to financial resources. Voir moins
