The Make a Difference Movement is the social project branch of the DCU Raising and Giving Society, which is now catching on nationwide. The "MAD Movement" mobilises the student body in a positive way, engaging students with the local community.

The movement works through a project based platform in which students take part in a project that interests them, and in which they can help others to become skilled in.
This year the projects that I assisted the startup of were Go GaGa for GAA, Bounce for Ballymun, RAG Rugby, Whacky Whistle, Cultuir Sessions and Project Procclamation. The aim of each project is to positively impact society and those involved through the medium of the projects' theme (football, basketball, music etc).
Operation Paint Ballymun was the original project and was used as a model for delivering all of the others.
