I'm an experienced freelance journalist, editorial consultant and sub-editor.

These days, I mostly write about sport, notably but not exclusively northern-hemisphere rugby union, but I can also turn my hand to straight news, as well as entertainment, travel, food and drink, and lifestyle features.

I work with the likes of World Rugby, EPCR, The Rugby Paper, Irish Examiner, Rugby World, Rugby Pass, UK and Ireland news agency the Press Association, and anglophone French news and lifestyle website The Local. I have also been published in - among others - The Guardian, Belfast Telegraph, Belfast Sunday Life, Connexion, Living France, and RTE Guide.

Before taking the dive into self-employed freelancehood, I was editorial manager for editorial production agency Presse Media 81, chief features writer for a regional newspaper group, and sports editor at the Press Association.
