My skills include Communications, Operations, Diplomacy, Project Management & Implementation, Volunteer Management and Client Relations on both a domestic and international scale. These entities include the non-profit sector, free-lance business, and international institutions.

I have cultivated relationships with volunteers, organization members, and global community members throughout my time within the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and India. I am pursuing a career advocating for human rights and well-being.     As Europe's largest multinational minority, the Roma have faced several challenges settling in France, a universalist society. Using theories from Benedict Anderson on the development of nations and Isaiah Berlin on kinds of liberty, I explore how facets of identity for both Roma and French societies have shaped the integration experience for the Roma. Primary data is then collected through interviews from multiple stakeholders (Roma people, gendarme, NGO representatives), participant…

    As Europe's largest multinational minority, the Roma have faced several challenges settling in France, a universalist society. Using theories from Benedict Anderson on the development of nations and Isaiah Berlin on kinds of liberty, I explore how facets of identity for both Roma and French societies have shaped the integration experience for the Roma. Primary data is then collected through interviews from multiple stakeholders (Roma people, gendarme, NGO representatives), participant observations, and literature review to gain a wide perspective on the situation. From the research and analysis from the data, it is suggested that Roma integration into French society finds itself in a catch-22 situation, due to marginalization, discrimination, and the universalist principles French society is based on. Successful, local intiatives and their methodologies are highlighted as pathways to aspire to and suggest adjusting them to a grander scale initiative in order to facilitate effective, national integration practices.
