À propos

I've been a science and innovation enthusiast since a very young age. During my studies in Centrale Paris and Cambridge, I rapidly developed a passion for quantum physics in general, and it's application to quantum computing in particular.

At ETH Zürich, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Andreas Wallraff, I devoted my PhD to reject a class of physics theories (called local realistic theories) cherrished by Einstein, using superconducting qubits hosted in separate 10mK refrigerators, 30 meters apart. This fascinating and semi-gigantic project involved prototyping and building large cryogenic systems, setting-up microwave systems with phase-coherence over 30 meters, and pushing the frontiers of quantum computing to entangle remote superconducting qubits deterministically and measure them at record speed.

After this, I moved to quantum computing start-up Alice & Bob. I arrived at its early stages of development and saw the company grow from 15 to 100+ people. There I took various responsibilities. First I supervised the building of our first lab. Then I lead the team in charge deploying of Alice & Bob's experimental facilities: chips, instruments, cryostats, etc. Today, I am in charge of building Alice & Bob technological blueprint: a detailed roadmap in coordination with all the teams, setting the milestones of A&B for the next 3 years. And tomorrow ? I hope to see quantum computing go past error-correction and become a useful, impactful technology.

As the lead of the MaxCat project I managed a team of 4 engineers to:
      • coordinate the specification, design and fabrication of a multi-cat-qubit processor for quantum-error-correction
      • specify, design and procure the microwave, mechanical, and cryogenic equipment to run this processor

Contributed to build Alice & Bob's first office and laboratory. I then lead projects to help A&B rapidly reach the state of the art in superconducting qubit control and measurement.

The goal of myPhD thesis was to perform a loophole-free Bell test using superconducting qubits. To do so, together with an amazing team of scientists and engineers, I worked on:

      - optimizing speed and fidelity of transmon qubit readout
      - developing a fast and efficient qubit reset scheme

      - the first deterministic protocol to generate entangled states between physically remote superconducting qubit
      - integrating a super fast QRNG to make last-nanosecond random choice of measurements
      - combining all of that into a single 30m-long quantum setup, on which we could eventually violate Bell's inequalities with all loopholes closed.
