We are looking for a Food Law Counsel Dairy to join our Global team! The Food Law Counsel is involved in the strategy of health and nutrition claims for the Dairy products Worldwide and has to take into account the short term objectives of the Business who will drive the orientation of the communication on the health benefit of the brands. The Food Law Counsels is in charge of the defence of the brands against any external challenge of our communication and labelling.

This CDI will take place between Gif and Paris, in our head office and global Research & Innovation center.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Focus On

• Advise and monitor Food advertising and labeling issues, with a special focus nutrition and health-related claims
• Working on the elaboration of communication guidelines (for consumers and health care professionals) and implementing the same according to the local regulatory framework in close contact with local Food Law network to ensure the consistency and robustness of claims based on clinical studies, to anticipate any implications that such studies, and the resulting claims, may have for the content of our communications.
• Validating from a legal and Regulatory point of view the communications on health benefits and nutritional properties of our products on all supports (TV copies, Radios spots, Billboards, leaflets, websites, com HCP).
• Accompany and provide support to the CBU (country business unit) for the management of any legal issue/challenge resulting from the communication/labelling or presentation of our products.
• Ensure compliance status in all segments of the food chain Regulatory clearance upstream

• Being partner of the Topline Teams (marketing and sales)/ R&I/CBU/C&P (purchaing) to guarantee the regulatory compliance.
• Coordinating the submission of product authorisation/ingredients/claims country per country.
• Diffusion of Food Law Policy and Guidelines of the GS COMMON
• CBU
• Provide Training to our internal clients (Workshops Marketing, Regulatory conventions, etc.),
• Ensure internal reporting and feed back.

About you

The criteria below remain indicative. A candidate who has a different combination of experience and skills could also be considered.

• With a Master’s degree in law, you have 6-8 years of legal experience, preferably in Food law or regulatory affairs
• You show strong communications skills and ability to impact.
• You develop clear and effective recommendations and cross-functional effectiveness.
• You are able to develop your internal network to achieve the team’s mission and communicate easily with teams without legal background.
• You pay attention to detail and are accurate
• You are fluent in English. French is a plus
