Here's how much the winners of the 2023 World Series of Poker Main Event are taking home

The main of event of this year’s World Series of Poker set a new all-time record of 10,043 players, an increase of nearly 1,400 over last year. That increase comes with a bump in the prize pool, which is up to more than $93.3 million for the 2023 No-Limit Hold’em World Championship.

From that total, the grand prize winner will take home $12.1 million — a significant bump from last year’s $10 million jackpot. The entire pool is up by more than $13 million over the 2022 main event, which had at the time the second-most players of all-time at 8,663.

However, only second place will also see an increase this year, with a $6.5 million payout. Third place will receive the same $4 million as last year, and the earnings for fourth through ninth will actually be less as more places receive a payout.

The 2023 WSOP main event began last Monday and will continue until a champion is crowned July 17.
