Kyle Larson favored to win NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600 and most-bet to win Indy 500 on same day

On Thursday, BetMGM announced Kyle Larson was the favorite to win NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte, North Carolina this Sunday. He’s now also the most-bet driver to win the Indianapolis 500 a few hours earlier on the same day.

As Larson attempts to become just the fifth driver to compete in NASCAR and IndyCar in the Memorial Day Double, bettors are lining up to hammer his odds in both races.

The 31-year-old is favorite at +475 to win the Coke 600 and is +675 to win the Indy 500. Larson is now the most-bet driver to win the Indy 500 with 11.5 percent of all bets placed, making him BetMGM’s largest liability.

Only one driver has ever completed all 1,100 miles of the double. That was Tony Stewart back in 2001, when he finished sixth in the Indy 500 and third in the Coke 600 a few hours later.

Anyone attempting to wager on Kyle Larson — who is racing his first IndyCar ever — will want to triple check their house rules for doing so. Especially if the driver arrives in Charlotte after the NASCAR race has begun.

Per BetMGM:

If the original driver is replaced by another driver after the start of the race the original driver is the driver of record and the wager will be action.

No matter what happens, Larson’s attempt at the double will give bettors plenty of options for both races.
