The Summer Research Conference (SRC) at UC San Diego is the region's largest research conference open to undergraduates in all academic fields who are conducting faculty-mentored summer research. The conference features the scholarly work of 400+ undergraduate researchers representing community colleges, public and private universities, and research institutions. Each year the Undergraduate Research Hub hosts the SRC in August.
The conference will take place on August 14 and 15 in the Price Center and Student Services Center on the UC San Diego campus. See below for the registration deadlines for SRC presenters and guests.
Any student who conducts summer research with a faculty mentor can submit an abstract to present. It is not limited to URH students, nor only UC San Diego students. We look forward to seeing you there!
Want to help at SRC?
This year’s conference will feature just over 400 undergraduate student presenters! We need volunteers to help check-in guests and guide attendees to the various meeting rooms, take photos, and other types of conference support.
Volunteers may register at no cost and are welcome to attend the entire conference, if they would like, not just during their assigned times. Meals are provided on both days of SRC.
The closest parking spots are in the Gilman Parking Structure. We recommend utilizing B permit spots (available on the roof of Gilman Parking Structure). If the B permit spots are taken there, we recommend parking in the South Parking Structure in either B permit or S permit spots.
Pay for parking with the ParkMobile app the day-of or via online sales portal (pre-paid only). We highly recommend you pre-register either with ParkMobile or via the online sales portal to make the process smoother on the days of the conference.
