DELTA: High Performance in Sustainable Waste Management with 99% Utilization of All Generated Waste For its excellent environmental performance, DELTA has achieved a Gold Certification for Zero Waste to Landfill from EUROCERT for 2023. As part of its sustainable development strategy, DELTA has completed the certification of all its facilities across Greece according to the Zero Waste to Landfill Standard “ZWTL-EU1.” Through the certification from EUROCERT, it has been verified that 99% of the waste generated by the company for the reporting year 2023 was directed towards further utilization, such as recycling, reuse, biogas production, and not sent to landfills, achieving the GOLD tier of the Zero Waste to Landfill Standard. Upon the announcement of the results, DELTA's Business Integration & Operations Transformation Director, Alexandros Skandalakis, stated: “This certification highlights the company's efforts and commitment to producing and distributing top-quality food with methods and processes that respect and protect the environment. Global Leadership for EUROCERT   EUROCERT has recently verified Health Product Declarations (HPDs) for reinforced concrete products produced by Al Ittefaq Steel Products Co in Saudi Arabia and elevators from Schindler in Switzerland.   A Health Product Declaration (HPD) is a standardized report used to disclose the contents of building materials, as well as their potential risks and impacts on human health. HPDs are developed according to the requirements of the HPD Open Standard issued by the American organization HPDC, which provides a coherent framework for reporting a product's components and describing the health risks to users of those products.   The verification of Health Product Declarations (HPDs) involves an audit, conducted by an HPDC-recognized body, of the information related to the human health impacts of the products under review. Verified HPDs are registered on the HPDC Builder platform and made publicly available for anyone interested in evaluation and comparative study.   EUROCERT is the only Certification Body in Greece, and one of only six worldwide, authorized to provide HPD verification services.
