A nod to our past as we blast into a new era: MINI John Cooper Works and Bulldog Racing celebrate Triumph at the 2024 Nürburgring 24 Hours Race 2024. 🏁 First place in its class for the #317 MINI John Cooper Works PRO 🏆🥇 a new generation model set to premiere in fall 2024, made its first appearance and emerged victorious in the SP-3T class, with a stunning lap time of 10:06, achieved by Markus Fischer (AUT), who shared the cockpit with Charlie Cooper (GBR), Christoph Kragenings (GER) and Sebastian Sauerbrei (GER). And to make things even better, our second car, the #474 MINI John Cooper Works, featuring a six-speed manual transmission, also took home a trophy after finishing third in its class. Building on its previous year's success of a second-place finish, the car, driven by Marco Zabel, Sascha Korte, Andreas Hilgers and Michael Bräutigam (all GER), recorded a fastest lap time of 10:44.118. Both remarkable performances underscore the capabilities and future potential of the next-generation MINI John Cooper Works models, showcasing the brand's resilience and prowess in one of the most demanding endurance races globally. Last month, the #IMM2024 took place in Geiselwind, bringing huge numbers of MINIacs together. 🫂 The #MINIFamily reunited once again to share stories about their journeys, take part in games and trips and, above all, show their iconic #MINI cars. Each MINI had a unique and distinct personality, as each owner had customised their MINI according to their individual style. However, this time, not only the classics were spotted, but also the new MINI family! The lifelong MINIacs had the opportunity to try out the new models in various test drives, where they could verify that the go-kart feeling was as strong as ever. And who better to show us the excitement of driving a MINI, classic or new, than “The Rally Professor” Rauno Aaltonen, who won the Montecarlo Rally in a MINI Cooper S in 1967?
