SIX-WEEK CERTIFICATE COURSE IN “SPORTS COACHING IN VOLLEYBALL” UNDER MASS SPORTS PARTICIPATION PROGRAMME FROM 16^TH MAY TO 8^TH JULY 2024

Hindustan Institute of Technology & Science (Deemed-to-be-University) invites Online applications from the candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria for admission to the Six-Week Certificate course in “Sports Coaching in Volleyball” for the Academic Year 2024-2025. Eligible candidates desirous to seek admission to the Certificate Course in Volleyball Sports Coaching should apply Online on the registration Google Form before the last date given in the notification available in the Poster / Social Media/Press.

Last Date for Submission of Applications 15^th May 2024.

A proud and prestigious moment for Hindustan Institute of Technology & Science (Deemed-to-be-University) conducting the Six-week certificate Course in “Sports Coaching in Volleyball” from 16th May to 30th June 2024 for Men and Women having passion for learning more about Sports Coaching in Volleyball and/or working in Schools/Colleges/Universities/Departments/Other Agencies/ Academies/ Clubs/ Industrial Houses associated with Sports.

General Instructions

Candidates selected for admission to “Sports Coaching in Volleyball” course are advised to read the following instructions carefully and act accordingly.

1. The Course fees and other admission fees totalling Rs. 20,000/- shall be deposited before joining the online classes.
2. If any candidates fail to complete the payment by the due date i.e. on/before 14^th May 2024, they will not be allowed to join the Course.
3. Candidates have to join online theory classes and  Practical classes at HITS, Padur, Chennai.
4. Online classes will be conducted from 16^th May 2024 to 15^th June 2024 as per the schedule.
5. All candidates are advised to use a good quality laptop/desktop/lab with a reliable internet connection to connect to the online theory classes. Always ensure that your face is visible to the camera at all times and avoid turning away from it.
6. The Practical Classes will be finalized after the completion of online classes depending on the number of batches and the dates will be announced accordingly. However, for the first batch, the candidates will need to report on 20.06.2024
7. To cover the practical classes & syllabus, the candidates will be called to the University.
8. The candidates reporting for practical classes, have to bring their original educational qualification certificates, proof of date of birth, Aadhar card, Sports achievement certificates, medical certificates, Fees Paid Transaction ID details copy and other required as specified. 
9. The candidates reporting for Practical classes will have to bring their own Sports kit items, which is mandatory; failing which they will not be allowed to participate in the practical classes.
10. If at any stage, the submitted certificates are found to be fake/ faulty/ forged then his/her admission to the Certificate Course will be cancelled and Certificate issued to such candidates will be summarily cancelled and withdrawn.

FEE PAYABLE TO THE UNIVERSITY

The prescribed fee for the entire duration of the Six-week Certificate Course is Rs.20,000/- which excludes lodging, boarding and other expenses.

 

Note: The candidates should make their own arrangements for boarding and lodging. However, if the candidate wishes to avail the facilities on campus, he/she has to make separate payment based on hostel tariff and availability.
 

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

The Candidate who is desirous to seek admission in the Six-week Certificate Course (Grass root & advance) in Volleyball are required to apply online through the Google Form given in the   notification available in the Poster / Social Media/Press.


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Candidate will be considered eligible for the course, provided that he/she meets minimum educational qualification (&) Achievements &Experience requirements at various levels.

1. Minimum 10 + 2 Pass & above
2. Sports achievements minimum 1st/2nd/3rd/place in School/District/State and above
3. Age - < 45 years (Medically fit candidates only eligible). Special cases will be considered by the Authority subject to Genuity for age relaxation.

Classes & Examination
ALL ONLINE CLASSES
May 16th to June 15th 2024
(Zoom ID, Log in Password will be Provided for those registered candidates who full fill the requirement both in Education and achievements)

PRACTICAL CLASSES
June 20th to July 8th 2024

Online Theory Examination for the Six Weeks Certificate Course in “Sports Coaching in Volleyball”

Discipline:  Volleyball                                                                           Portal Link: will be provided

Equipment required for the examination:

1. Laptop or desktop having webcam device.
2. Seamless Internet connectivity.
3. Web Browsers i.e., Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Mozilla Firefox.
Note: A mock examination will be conducted before writing the actual examination.

Instructions: (For online classes)

1. All students must join the class 10 minutes early and maintain proper decorum throughout the session.
2. Volleyball and Sports Sciences classes will be conducted Every day (Except regular holidays), starting from 16th May 2024 to 30th June 2024.
3. Trainees can join Online Classes using the Zoom ID & Login Password 
4. Specialized Sports (Volleyball) Theory & Discussion Classes can be joined using the link.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION WITH FEE:
The last day of receiving the Online application with fees is 14.05.2024

Rejection of Application
Applications will be scrutinised to ensure compliance with University and Course requirements. Incomplete applications, copies of documents not uploaded, fees not deposited before start of the online classes, non-production of medical certificates etc will lead to rejection of applications.

Note: 
1. The Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science reserves the right to cancel the course or Change venue without assigning any reason.  
2. For more details about the Certificate course if any can be obtained from the Dean – Sports.
3. Spouse and dependents are not permitted to stay with the selected candidates during the Practical classes.

BRIEF ABOUT COURSE DIRECTOR

1. Worked in Sports Authority of India about 32 years as a Volleyball Coach.
2. Worked in the Academic wing as teaching faculty about 10 years and produced infinite number
of Volleyball Coaches for the country.
3. Worked in the Two years Diploma Course in Volleyball Sports Coaching in the history of Sports
Authority of India.
4. Worked in the National /Indian Teams Coaching Camps in the Junior/youth & Senior
categories for many months along with eminent and outstanding coaches in the Country.
5. Did his Doctorate (PhD) in Muscular Power which was an experimental study received the
award from Mysore University and the external evaluation from University of Nayola,
California, USA.
6. Did his international Coaches Course level I & II
7. Produced more than 25 International Players for the Country.
8. Produced the world class players in the various age categories and brought laurels for the
country by winning the silver and bronze medals.
9. Produced more than 210 National level players with medal winners.
10. As a cream of experience Taken up a new project in the history of volleyball at
SAILNCPE, Thiruvananthapuram a Height Hunt program in the scheme of SAI by
searching tall talents all parts Kerala and produced out standing results within 3 to 4
years of time as number one in Sports Authority of India and made all players to
play in the various Nationals in their age groups with medal winners and also made
four of the Players to play for the Country in the recently concluded world
championship held at Argentina ,August 2023.
11. Conducted more than 15 Six-week certificate Courses.
12. Conducted more 10 Inservice Coaches course for the PETS/Coaches those who are already in
service.
13. Conducted the Coaches course for Sri Lankans /Bangladesh/Nepal too.
14. Raised the standard of Sports Training Centre to National Centre of Excellence at
SAILNCPE, Thiruvananthapuram through Height Hunt Scheme through vast experience
and scientific knowledge.
15. Retired as Head Coach, National Centre of Excellence.
16. Currently working as Dean -Sports at Hindustan Institute of Technology &
Science, Padur, Chennai and continuing my passion volleyball coaching too.
