The new ARF Quarterly Bulletin article “The Invisible Empire: How Singapore court cases unmasked a multi-billion-Dollar Illegal Betting Syndicate” by the ARF Council Research Head, James P., shows that the recent convictions in Singapore’s biggest-ever money laundering case directly linked to illegal betting syndicates spanning China, the Philippines, Cambodia, Dubai and Europe underline how illegal betting, money laundering, organised crime and corruption often go hand-in-hand. This session of the 40th Asian Racing Conference Business Programme will open with a keynote presentation titled “Lessons From The Battle To Do Good” by sustainability expert Bob Langert, who led McDonald’s social responsibility and sustainability efforts for more than 25 years and shaped the corporation’s commitment to supply chain, animal welfare, environmental protection and nutrition strategy. Bob will lead delegates on a deep dive into how these lessons can be applied to racing and other sports, including the importance of transparency, proactive social management and the need to engage with your toughest critics.
