Back in 2020, we adopted our first enertainer at the Purpose-built Multi-welfare Services Complex project in Kwu Tung North, replacing diesel generators with clean energy to power heavy equipment. Starting off as a pilot scheme, we are happy to witness the positive impacts brought to our workers, surrounding communities, and the environment. The welcoming results have convinced us to extend the use of enertainers to more of our construction sites for public housing, healthcare and other projects.    Sustainability has always been the core of SOCAM’s construction business. As we move towards achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, smart and clean construction is vital to the future of the industry and the city we live in.

As staunch advocates of sports and well-being, our team relished the camaraderie at the Football Competition organised by the Construction Industry Council last weekend. It was a gathering that saw construction industry professionals unite to foster a spirit of positivity within our community.   Temporarily setting aside work, company KPIs, and daily challenge, we focused solely on giving our best, sharing laughter, and reveling in the thrill of the game.     The competition was not only a fantastic experience but also a testament to our collaborative spirit, culminating in the honour of bringing home a cherished trophy. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the CIC for orchestrating this event and look forward to more opportunities where everyone can bask in the joy and positive energy that sports bring. #CIC #Wellbeing #Sports #PositiveEnergy #Community  

SOCAM was honoured to receive the Smart Site Safety System (4S) Labels for four of our construction sites, awarded by the Development Bureau, Hong Kong SAR Government and the Construction Industry Council. We have transitioned significantly from traditional methods to digital solutions that enhance safety and productivity. The adoption of 4S greatly improves site safety through the use of digital monitoring platforms, wearable devices, and safety-related technologies, providing more precise data and insights to prevent accidents. As the system evolves and mature, we look forward to implementing to more sites, embracing innovation to protect our workers' safety! We’re proud to announce that SOCAM has been awarded the tender for the Security Access Management System for the New Extension Projects of MTR Corporation Limited 香港鐵路有限公司.   The breakthrough project covers new lines such as Tung Chung Line Extension, Oyster Bay Station, Tuen Mun South Extension, Kwu Tung Station on East Rail Line and Hung Shui Kiu Station, and is targeted for completion between 2027 and 2030. SOCAM shall play its part by leveraging our expertise in building technology, and committed to fostering a strong partnership with MTR to bring a safe, reliable, efficient and environmentally friendly ride to all passengers.    We look forward to kicking off this meaningful project with MTR, and to more partnerships to come, as we are determined to contribute to the smart city development brimming with innovation and new technologies. #MTR #Technology #Innovation #Digitalisation #Smartcity

SOCAM teamed up with The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and start up partners for a series of site visits, witnessing the great news as the new research initiative MiC x BIPV gains momentum!   The prospective initiative researches into the benefits of the combined application of Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) and Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV), integrating solar power claddings to prefabricated building structures. It is truly a breakthrough as we anticipate the new technology to generate clean energy and reduce carbon emissions, while supporting liveable designs to a higher degree.   The increasing progression of global warming leads us to cope with through more innovative solutions, especially in Hong Kong.
