Partnering with Junior Achievement Hong Kong (JA Hong Kong) and the Hospitality Discipline of Vocational Training Council (VTC), we hosted our first Career Readiness Module at our Community Store in Wanchai and visited the International Culinary Institute at Pokfulam last Wednesday. 🏬🤝   Students participating in Career Readiness Module got an inside look at the F&B industry through a curated series of interactive workplace immersion sessions, such as 📍 job shadowing and 💬 dialogues with mentors. Co-hosted with Vocational Training Council, Vocational Training Council, Hospitality Discipline x Starbucks "Be a Barista 當一日咖啡師 Job Shadowing Programme" was a huge hit!   Last Saturday, we welcomed a group of secondary school students to our store for an immersive barista experience along with our partner VTC Hospitality Discipline to provide F&B industry prospect to them. During the workshop, the students learned the art of crafting coffee, from operating the espresso machine to perfecting latte art.   But this was about more than just coffee. We aimed to provide the students with exposure to a potential career path in the coffee industry, while also helping them build confidence in their creativity through interactive activities.   At Starbucks Hong Kong, we are committed to empowering youth and nurturing the next generation of professionals. The enthusiasm and curiosity the students demonstrated were truly heartwarming. We're thrilled to have played a part in opening their eyes to the rewarding world of barista-ing.   Moments like these remind us of the importance of investing in our youth. Starbucks’ first community store at East Asia Mansion in Wanchai offers an energetic and inviting ambience, proudly showcasing a vibrant mural created by acclaimed local artist Zoie Lam.
