The production and organization of superb musical and also numerous multimedia events have assured the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall the leading position in the concert activities of Croatia, as well as the immediate region. For more than 40 years, the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall has been synonymous with the finest musical performances. Conceived as a multifunctional space, in addition to top concert events, the Hall organizes film premieres, interesting exhibits, and is often the host to international congresses and meetings. Besides the leading international names in classical music, Lisinski has also hosted performances by some of the biggest names in pop and jazz (Tina Turner, Nick Cave, Ella Fitzgerald, Sting, Cesaria Evora, the Platters, Dizzy Gillespie, Sarah Vaughan, Julliette Gréco, Chick Corea, Charles Aznavour, Omara Portuondo, Misia, Paco de Lucia etc.). Keeping pace with contemporary music and avant-garde trends, Lisinski has been chosen by numerous artists as the place to present their newest works, especially during the Music Biennale Zagreb (Igor Stravinski, Krysztof Penderecki, Pierre Boulez, John Cage, Witold Lutoslawski, Mauricio Kagel, Luciano Berio etc.). The exceptional quality and variety of the performances at Lisinski represent a major contribution to the promotion of Croatian music and culture in the world. Except the famous series Saturday Night at Lisinski which started in 1981, from season 2015./2016. we can proudly present our new program Lisinski arioso in which public can expect a great evenings with the greatest opera stars of today. Now you have the opportunity to listen and watch the artist live at Lisinski, unlike previously, where you could hear them and watch them only on canvas of Lisinski. In the new season, you can expect spectacular concerts of giants of the art of opera.
