Lost Millennials - Transnational research network for the evaluation of initiatives targeting 25+ NEETs

Rólunk

The "Lost Millennials - Transnational research network for the evaluation of initiatives targeting 25+ NEETs" project will focus on a segment of the Millennial generation in the job market: young people aged 25 to 29 who are out of employment or education and training (25+ NEETs). The project's major goal is to help 25+ NEETs integrate into the labor market by raising awareness on the effects of employment initiatives on 25+ NEETs, boosting stakeholder ability to conduct impact studies, and thereby improving the quality of labor market interventions.

One of the key outcomes of the project is the establishment of a transnational network of researchers. Through knowledge sharing, capacity-building events, and online forums, participating organizations have fostered a vibrant community focused on youth policy, employment, and evaluation. In addition to internal trainings and online events, the partnership has curated valuable resources available on the Lost Millennials YouTube channel. Even after the project's conclusion, this research network will persist, advocating for the significance of evaluations in youth employment and fostering ongoing dialogue among professionals and stakeholders across policy, research, and practice domains. #LostMillennials #EEANorwayGrants #FundforYouthEmployment #YouthEmploymentMag

At the core of the Lost Millennials project, our primary focus has been on cultivating a robust community of knowledge and practice. This has started with circulating knowledge and experience between the countries involved in the partnership: our series of internal training sessions has built capacities in a range of methods central to making visible the situations of 25+ NEET’s. Topics have ranged from an overview of evaluation methods to a detailed exploration of quantitative and qualitative methods for impact assessment. Moreover, our series of public online events has facilitated knowledge exchange and created a platform for highlighting the experiences of established researchers and professionals across Europe. From discussing best practices and methodological challenges to exploring innovative approaches, each panel discussion has enriched our understanding of addressing the needs of young people. The project also organized training sessions aimed at enhancing professionals' capacity to evaluate initiatives targeting 25+ NEETs. #LostMillennials #EEANorwayGrants #FundforYouthEmployment #YouthEmploymentMag
