On 3 July 2024, a Second Experts' Meeting for the 'ASEAN-IPR Regional Conference on Cybersecurity' was convened. The meeting provided a platform for Experts to prepare the Focused Group Discussion (FGD) -- scheduled for mid-July 2024. The ASEAN-IPR Regional Conference on Cybersecurity -- scheduled for early 2025 -- aims to create a platform for collaboration between experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to forge strategies that enhance cybersecurity and encourage regional peace and stability. On 21 June 2024, the Advisory Board (AB) of ASEAN-IPR convened its 14th Meeting – the first under this year's Chairmanship of Lao PDR. On 20 June 2024, the Executive Director (ED) of ASEAN-IPR paid a courtesy call to the newly appointed representative of Viet Nam to the Governing Council (GC), H.E. Ambassador Dr. Ton Thi Ngoc Huong. During the courtesy call, the ED and ASEAN-IPR Secretariat Team provided a brief and exchanged on work of the Institute. Prior to her current post, H.E. The National Action Plans on Women, Peace and Security (NAP WPS) support countries to translate the WPS agenda into the local context and develop actions to ensure there are more women playing leading roles in the peace and security sector for a peaceful and harmonious community.
