Community fuels growth! The changemakers from I-SEA, a social enterprise accelerator programme we co-run with #IKEASocialEntrepreneurship, get together every few months to engage in conversations on various topics, from the challenge they face as a founder to success stories in making an impact. On occasion, to our delight, IKEA co-workers would join our chat! Having been leaders at IKEA for years, Adrian and Raushanfikr shared with us the values that have guided their leadership style: trust, empathy, leading by example, and simplicity. IKEA co-workers Herin, Hasse, Dias, Yogi, Tasha, Rima, Utami, Rima, Rudy, also joined us to share their experience working with suppliers and use their respective expertise to support I-SEA Changemakers. So what is climate finance? 🌡️🌍 A recent analysis by UNDP shows that finance remains a fundamental barrier to the acceleration of climate action in developing countries. Climate action requires a large amount of investment. The financial resources used to support actions on climate change are called climate finance. How does impact investment play a role in climate finance? 💰🌍 As impact investing involves investment activities to achieve positive impact (social or environmental) and financial return, addressing climate change issues can be accomplished through both impact investing and climate finance. How can we increase the contribution of impact investment to climate finance? 📈🌱 Many can be done! At Instellar, in addition to impact fund, we also provide tailored technical assistance to scale up social enterprises.
