In developing the Young Athletes Program in 6 locations, Special Olympics Indonesia supported by UPS Foundation conducted a series of activities. Targeting children with and without intellectual disabilities aged 2-7 years, young athletes develops and improves children's social and motor skills through inclusive sports and games. Train the Trainer kicked off this series. The coaches are given how to train children by introducing various activities using the various tools. They are also guided on how to create a training curriculum and assessment for each child to monitor the child's development during the young athletes training.

Special Olympics Indonesia and PT GF Indonesia or known as EAGLE, one of Indonesia's national products agreed to cooperate by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at EAGLE's Head Office on Friday (15/3). This MoU was signed by the President Director of PT GF Indonesia Mr. Hengky Sofyan and the Chairman of Special Olympics Indonesia Mr. Warsito Ellwein. This MoU is a form of commitment in supporting Special Olympics Indonesia athletes by strengthening and facilitating athletes in training and competing. It is also a form of EAGLE's commitment to support the improvement of Indonesian sports and athletes to achieve in various national and international competitions. This is not the first time EAGLE has supported Special Olympics Indonesia. Previously, EAGLE also supported the SO Indonesia delegation that competed at SOWG Berlin 2023.

To establish 200 clubs in Indonesia, Special Olympics Indonesia signed an MoU with the Indonesian Special Education Teachers Association (IGPKhI) to support the implementation of SOIna Club activities which include: human resource support and conducting training activities all year round and sports competitions. The MoU was signed by IGPKhI Chairman Drs. Agus Mulyawan, M.Si and SOIna Chairman Mr. Warsito Ellwein at Hotel Menara Peninsula Jakarta (8/3).

One of SO Indonesia's main targets is to develop the Young Athletes program, an early childhood play program for children with and without intellectual disabilities, aged 2 to 7 years. Young Athletes introduces basic sport skills, such as running, kicking and throwing. This year, SO Indonesia supported by the UPS Foundation conducted a series of activities in an attempt to develop the program in 6 locations. The series of activities include train the trainer, 8-week training program, monitoring, and YA demonstrations. South Jakarta became the starting location of the series by organizing train the trainer on Saturday, February 3, 2024. The activity was attended by 10 coaches and 6 athletes.
