IGNITING ASEAN’S BLUE ECONOMY AND GREEN ENERGY

Tentang kami

One of the key drivers of the ASEAN Summit is optimizing the role of the ocean within the region with the Blue Economy concept. Currently, the oceans can generate a projected value of US$ 2.5 trillion dollars. With optimal utilization, marine and coastal resources can reach a market value of US$ 3 trillion dollars per year. The Blue Economy Declaration was adopted in the 38th ASEAN Summit in 2021, with the goal of sustainable and inclusive use of the sea and water resources. 2023’s ASEAN Summit has refocused the Blue Economy Framework into one of the top priorities in the economic field. Indonesia has also stated the importance for ASEAN countries to develop an integrated economic platform for a green economy. This can be achieved by developing conducive policies regarding green economics such as international partnerships, investment, technology transfers, and research and development. For ASEAN to achieve its 2025 goals and SDG targets, the roles and contribution of its engineers must be recognized and managed. CAFEO 2023 has its core mission to fulfill these goals and targets by recognizing, igniting, and realizing the economics and environmental values of its potential on ocean resources of ASEAN’s 25,000 islands (blue economy) and huge decarbonization capacities and opportunities (green economy). Through this ASEAN spirit and in order to provide real support to the ASEAN leaders in the 2023 ASEAN Summit, the Institution of Engineers Indonesian as Chair of 2023 AFEO, proposes the Theme and Sub-Theme for 2023 CAFEO as follows.

CAFEO 41 Indonesia, Conference of ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations, has provided me an opportunity to be part of committee to manage all ASEAN and some Asian delegates. From this event, I learn that we live in ASEAN with a lot of diversity from each nation (especially at YEAFEO as ASEAN young engineers community), and we can collaborate each other to make something happen. Bringing Cambodia flag concurrently with song playing of ASEAN anthem in opening ceremony is an honour and trust that I can directly ensoul the unity of ASEAN and build a networking with each head of delegates. Technical Visit event to Bali Mandara Toll made young delegates know and astonished with one Indonesian greatness in building toll construction above the sea. Once more, I say thank you to all delegates, and I wish you enjoy our hospitality. See you in CAFEO 42 Malaysia and next other event!

Alhamdulilah, My abstract Journal Science acceptance CAFEO 41 Indonesia in Bali August 2023 ago. My journal is part of my thesis research which I successfully tested and passed, other parts published in international journals can be downloaded via: https://lnkd.in/dC_daVjy Unfortunately, I couldn't continue this process at CAFEO 41 because of routine work, especially since August was the first spud in well/drilling in Sumbawa. By receiving congratulations because my mangrove ecosystem abstract journal was accepted for the conference at CAFEO by the committee ( AFEO Governing Board ), it was already a good achievement for me in the world of higher education and in becoming a student and ending my status as a graduate. [TECHNICAL VISIT] Safety Training for ASEAN Engineering Students Pre-event Conference of ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organization CAFEO 41 Indonesia (CAFEO 41st) Hosted by-Indonesian Engineers Association Persatuan Insinyur Indonesia at Bali, Indonesia. In this activity, we visited several places that serve as training grounds for occupational safety and health in the field of engineering. 1. Jasa Marga Bali Toll (Bali Mandara Toll) The Bali Mandara Toll Road is a 12.7-kilometer toll road connecting the city of Denpasar/Benoa Harbor, Ngurah Rai International Airport, and Nusa Dua in the province of Bali, Indonesia. This toll road passes through Denpasar City and Badung Regency. The Bali Mandara Toll Road is Bali's first toll road and the second toll road in Indonesia built over the sea after the Suramadu Bridge. Here, we learned about the history of construction, toll road maintenance, wind direction and speed, operational systems and management, construction, traffic signs, and more. The Bali Mandara Highway is one that allows motor vehicles (2-wheeled) to use it. Of course, this requires special attention from the operators, in this case, Jasa Marga Bali Toll, by considering wind direction and speed to anticipate and reduce the risk of traffic accidents. 2. Garuda Wisnu Kencana Statue (GWK) The GWK Statue is a 122-meter-tall statue located in the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park in Bali, Indonesia. Designed by I Nyoman Nuarta, it was inaugurated in September 2018. The total height of the statue, including the 46-meter pedestal, is 122 meters (400 feet). This statue is even larger and taller than the Statue of Liberty in America. It's made of a mixture of copper and steel weighing 4,000 tons, with a height of 76 meters and a width of 66 meters. Additionally, here, we also learned about building construction, construction duration, occupational safety and health training during the building process, maintenance of structures, and more. Through this activity, I learned a lot about the beauty of Indonesian culture and the importance of paying attention to Occupational Safety and Health. After receiving knowledge about safety training (in the previous post), we were now invited to see its direct application while learning about the beauty of Indonesian culture. #CAFEO41 #SafetyTraining #UniversitasUdayana #Indonesia #Bali #PersonalBranding

As the Head of Maritime and Offshore Construction Division - Young Engineers Forum PII, I initiated the Webinar Blue Economy Series as part of the Road to the 41st Conference of ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations (CAFEO 41 Indonesia), focusing on the theme 'Igniting ASEAN's Blue Economy and Green Energy’. This webinar series, a collaboration between the Maritime and Offshore Construction Division of The Institution of Engineers Indonesia (PII), the Professional Board of Marine Engineering (PII), and the Professional Board of Ship Technology (PII), showcases five episodes corresponding to the five pillars of the Blue Economy proposed by Minister Sakti Wahyu Trenggono (Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries). The insightful and comprehensive content of these webinars shed light on Indonesia's vast maritime potential that needs exploration, development, and optimization. This requires a multi-stakeholder approach following the Penta-Helix concept, where the Government, Practitioners, Academia, Business Entities, Communities, and Media work in coordination and commitment to transform Indonesia's maritime potential. This aligns with Indonesia's journey towards becoming the Global Maritime Fulcrum by 2045. I express my deep gratitude to those who supported this initiative, 1. Ir. Bambang Goeritno, MSc., MPA., IPU., APEC Eng (General Secretary of PII), Prof. Dr. Ir.
