As PRIDE month comes to a close, I’d like to reflect on the incredible sense of community and support I witnessed throughout June. Our journey began with a powerful flag-raising ceremony that set the tone for a month of unity and inclusivity. We marched with joy and solidarity in the PRIDE parade, showcasing our unwavering support for LGBTQ+ rights. Our patient panel provided invaluable insights and fostered deep, meaningful conversations about the experiences and challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals. And finally, our delightful Drag Queen Charity Bingo event brought us all together for an afternoon of fun, laughter, and fundraising for vital LGBTQ+ charities. None of this would be possible without the hard work of our Bristol Myers Squibb PRIDE Alliance team, who turns our values into real-life actions that make an impact. Thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and celebrated with us this month. Together, we continue to build a more inclusive and compassionate community, both within our organization and beyond. #BMSemployee

We are thrilled to announce that Francisco Ramírez-Valle, MD, PhD, FAAD, our Senior Vice President and Head of the Immunology and Cardiovascular Thematic Research Center, has been recognized in Endpoints News' annual feature on LGBTQ+ leaders in biopharma! Francisco's leadership and dedication to advancing scientific research while fostering an inclusive environment exemplify our core values at Bristol Myers Squibb. His contributions are not only shaping the future of the immunology and cardiovascular treatment landscape but also paving the way for greater LGBTQ+ representation in clinical trials and the biotech industry overall. “If I can be a mentor to anyone, whether they’re a Latino kid...or from a sexual minority, that they can achieve everything that they want and become a leader if that’s what they want, that would be amazing,” he said. While we celebrate Francisco and the other incredible honorees, we must acknowledge the challenges the LGBTQ+ community continues to face. Francisco's recognition is a testament to the progress we've made and the work that still needs to be done. Join us in celebrating Francisco and the inspiring work of all the honorees. #LGBTQLeadership #SOGIIS #HealthEquity Read more: https://bit.ly/3ztX354
